This is the first time using a weed and feed spreader, and Scott's is apparently ONLY interested in selling more product verses making instructions easy to locate. 30 minutes in, there are still no instructiins to be found regarding the correct spreader setting. I will be taking back the over $200.00 worth of Scott's products I purchased yesterday to get my lawn and garden into shape, and won't ever be purchasing Scott's products again. Seems like Scott's goal should be costomer satisfaction versus the exclusive goal of selling more product to line the companies pockets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Three years ago, our lawn was infested with dandelions and a cast of other assorted weeds. There were also loads of bare spots throughout, no doubt a result of weed-feeding grub activity. After an e-mail response from Scotts, relevant to my problem, I followed their advice and purchased the suggested repair products. Directions were clear and simple for all of their products. Using a tow-behind spreader, I applied Scotts Turf Builder 3, followed by their Contractor's Mix grass seed. The app was in the Spring of the first year. That summer, I immediately noticed reduced weed growth, especially dandelions, and bare spots became almost obsolete. The grass was much fuller and greener, throughout the entire yard. In the Fall of that year, I repeated the turf builder app only. The following Spring, I started with an app of the turf builder. A few weeks later, I applied a sparsely-scattered addition of Scotts grass seed. By the second summer, weeds no longer dominated our yard. A few expected dandelions remained, but were almost extinct, and all bare spots disappeared. I have since continued applying the Turf Builder 3, without any grass seed, in the Spring and Fall of each year, and will repeat the schedule every year. In summary, during the second year our lawn was much thicker, healthier, weeds were very minimal -- and the grubs were no longer a problem. It took awhile, but thanks to Scotts quality products, along with their prompt e-mail responses to lawn my problems, we now have the best looking lawn in the neighborhood!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product forever and it does the job of preventing weeds and providing nutrition for my lawn. The weed killing agent works promptly on established weeds while the fertilizer is a slow time release product to prevent fast growth and thatch. It costs a bit more than competitions products but they do stand behind their product.

Three days ago I had a beautiful green and lush lawn that I work on very hard to keep looking that way. On Wednesday, I put Scotts Turf Builder weed and feed. I followed the directions perfectly. I actually read them twice to be sure I was following directions. Today, Friday April 19, 2019, I have a lawn that is turning brown and dying. I am beyond upset and frustrated!!! Never again will I use Scotts products. Can someone please give advice to rectify the situation?

Used the product in October and April. Outcome is just shy of miraculous. We had had large patches on the two sides and front yard that were covered with Clover and Creeping Charlie. Mowing was embarrassing because we worried about infecting the neighbors' yards. After two applications of Scott's (Oct and April) following the instructions (w/ a mower coupled broadcaster) our yard is golf course quality. It's stunning! Great decision!

My landscaper commented on how thick my lawn is, (even though it was more of a complaint because he has to cut it twice). It is easy to apply and could not be happier with the results.

I've used this product for several years and I highly recommend it. Its easy to use and effective on weeds. I have done battle with Hawkweed in my very sandy soiled lawn. Scotts has made that battle much easier and has remained effective. It isn't 100% against the Hawkweed, but that is due to the aggressive weed itself. You can dose that with Roundup and it will still come back. So, after effectively beating it down with Roundup, the Scotts and a good mowing regime keep my lawn looking as happy as it can, given my soil situation. Where I once has a poor looking lawn, I now have a lush soft lawn that I can walk barefoot in. I will continue using Scotts products and highly recommend to anyone that asks what I do to my lawn.
