My neighbor doesn't take care of his yard so I have to use this to keep the weeds out if my yard. This neighbor has every weed you can think of. After using this on my yard I never get any of his weeds. My lawn stays green and weed free.

So… I'm in Lowes, got my hand on a bag of Southern weed n feed and a lady approached me and asked if I had any questions. I showed her pics of the lawn and all the weeds coming up and told her I needed something to kill them off. She asked my lawn type, and recommended the Scotts brand weed n feed. I said why is the Scott's almost $50 a bag and this other one I've got my hand on $35? (Not to mention with the sale they had going the price would've only been $28). She said that Scotts was a great choice and they backed it up with a money back guarantee if not completely satisfied. I again asked, what is the difference, performance wise. She read off the 3 numbers printed at the bottom of the bag. I said what's the difference between those numbers and the ones printed on the other bag? Her reply, "I'm not allowed to look at the other brand's bag" it was at this time I read her shirt and realized her shirt has a Scotts logo on it. She again reiterated their quality, effectiveness, and their guarantee. I grabbed a bag of the Scott's weed and feed and, reluctantly, paid the extra $20 figuring, 'you get what you pay for'. I followed the directions to the letter, even made sure there was no big rainstorms in the forcast that would wash the product off the lawn, even had a Scotts spreader so I was able to match the setting to get the exact right amount on the lawn. Well......its been 2 weeks and the weeds are thriving! What a disappointment, not even one dead weed. It's not like there were no weeds to kill, I was concerned that I would have nothing but dirt once I killed the weeds. Don't waste your time or money on this bag of junk.

Followed directions to the nth degree...weve had lots of rain here in Northern Virginia so moisture is not an issue. Within 5 days - my beautiful lush green lawn started showing signs of death...after 15 days -- brown and the weeds are proliferating. DO NOT USE!!

I tried this turf builder on our back lawn on the areas which were looking thin and weedy It is so easy to use. I love that it kills weed and fertilizes the lawn. The instructions are easy to follow. The grass looks healthier, lush and has less weeds. This is a great product to get our lawn ready and looking healthy. Highly recommend it

I have applied this at least every other year because my neighbors let dandelions and other weeds thrive in their lawns. The wind does the rest and I end up with weeds. This is VERY effective, especially the new formula in the last few years. Kills chickweed, plantain, purslane and dandelions, the worst offenders in my area. You MUST apply to damp grass! You must apply when weeds are growing, meaning temps consistently above 60F day and night. Apply on a dewy morning or spray grass first. It needs moisture to stick to broadleaf weeds to be effective and weeds need to be actively growing to uptake the herbicide. Also apply at the recommended amount, I have seen neighbors buy a small bag and do their front and back yard when the bag isn't even large enough to treat their front yard! Apply when there won't be rain for at least 24 hours. If I apply early Sunday morning, I'm seeing plantains and dandelion leaves curling by that afternoon. Within a day or two all weeds are starting to show some yellowing after a week weeds are dead or well on their way.

It's simple to use and greatly reduces the dandelions in my yard. If this is your first time make sure to watch the weather and follow the instructions carefully.

Maybe I have less of them than before, but I've had much better results at my other house. Maybe something different about the day, no idea, but still pretty much have most of the weeks I had before. Except they're fertilized now because weed & feed. lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have an acre of land I treated with this product and it did really well. I had a few sporadic dandelions pop up. But I might have just spread it thin in those spots. But overall I was impressed and happy with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fertilizer was very effective and longer lasting than competing products. I was very pleased with the fertilizer. I have used it before and I will continue to use it. The weed killer was less effictive. The conditions for it to workj require the lawn to be wet (early morining) and it broadcasts where it may not be needed. I prefer to fertilize and treat weeds seperately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kill the weeds and get a thicker lawn while doing so! Scott’s does it again! Easy to apply, I use my rotary spreader and no that within a week my lawn will be looking its best. Lawn is a nice dark green and weed free.
