Have always been pretty satisfied with Scott’s products until the last two years. I have been using weed and feed hoping it will kill the dandelions in my yard... applied last week and temperatures have been 70-80! Absolutely worthless! Might have killed 1/4 of them but for the money you pay for the square footage and the job it does... buy something else!! Never thought I would be going away from Scott’s product but I won’t be buying this again.

Used as directed 3 times this spring and we have NOT had any good results except for the weeds are growing great! Only the dandelions look like old leaves a little damaged but the plants are thriving. VERY MUCH A WASTE OF MONEY, LAWN AND TIME!!!! Don’t know who writing the good reviews, they must have not needed the weed killing.

Within a few days my lawn was by far the best on the block! I use Scott's products exclusively for my lawn care needs. I highly recommend this product!

This formula is no good. It killed my entire yard. I used the correct setting for spreading. I have used other Scott steps worked fine, but this Weed and Feed is very harmful to my lawn. Now I have the years with dead all yellow grass after I applied this product. Can’t recommend to any one.

I have used this product in the past, but I have a pretty good thick and healthy lawn, so usually just spot kill any weeds that I see during the season ... Last year, I read your instructions because I thought I'd go with the Weed & Feed ... It says to apply to a wet lawn for best results ... My opinion = BIG mistake ... It clogged my Scott's spreader, it got all over my shoes; a total mess to clean up ... Just a word to the wise; if you use it don't apply to a wet lawn, and you'll still get good results, just maybe not the "best" ... AND your cleanup will be a breeze, like it should be. I think Scotts should think seriously about this and come up with something better ...

Decided to try Scott's weed and feed this year, and must state I'm very disappointed. I struggle to control clover and violets in my yard every year, so I tried Scott's for the first time. This product has had no effect on the the clover or violets, in fact they are worse this year than they ever have been. It's almost like it fed them. I will not buy this product again.

Some of the fertilizer came out of the bag in large chunks. I took a large flat-head screw driver and hammer and broke it into smaller pieces and then used my hands to break it up. What should have been a 20 minute job turned into hours. The cotter pins immediately broke on my pull behind spreader because there were still chunks big enough to apparently break steel. Stuff was like sand. Scooped it out of the spreader to try to break up the chunks further. Burned my lawn. The directions were useless - had to keep increasing the spreader number way over the recommendation to get the stuff to fall out and spread. Have purchased this stuff before in the past and didn't have these type of problems. Scott's quality control has apparently gone downhill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Scotts 4 steps to keep my lawn beautiful. My neighbors always ask how I do it. I tried another name brand fertilizer once on the recommendation of a lawn guy. It did green up real quick, but that didn't last all summer and my lawn looked stressed by August. I went back to Scotts and won't change again.

I have been using Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed for years and am happy with the product. My problem is getting the right setting on my spreader. Because of the size of the lawn, I use a Craftsman spreader towed behind my lawn tractor. You recommend settings for Scotts spreaders but I have never been able to find settings for the Craftsman spreader. Could you just give me a gap dimension, which I could apply to my spreader?

I have used this product since 1978, when it was known as Scott's Turf +2-I think. In my neighborhoods, over time, those that use Scotts have superior lawns. Now Scott's is not the only factor, but in terms of feeding the lawn and killing most weeds you'll see in my part of the country, Scott's is granular gold and well worth the few dollars more Scott's users pay. The payback is quickly visible in a greener, healthier lawn.
