I've used this for several years on my St Augustine lawn with decent results. However, I don't know if this is a new warning or I just never saw it before: the bag says don't use on St Augustine lawns! Has anyone else used this successfully on St Augustine lawns?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Turf Builder Weed & Feed works well for killimg most weed and helps to feed the lawn in the spring. I have watched as weed disappear in the lawn. With all the rain we have had, the feed part has helped the lawn grow quickly.

I have always trusted Scott’s products and still do. I am a little disappointed in the amount of coverage I was able to achieve. I recently bought a new house and wanted to start my new yard off right. My total lot is 16K for sq/ft and I bought a 12K bag. Also on a side note the price of Scott’s vs a private label had me questioning which one to use. Thinking it would cover most if not all do to buildings and driveway. I ended up running out and buying another 4K bag to try and finish. Again more money! The setting on the bag was 7.25 for a drop spreader. So after I was done I thought I must have done something wrong. I check the calibration on the Scott’s drop spreader, all good. Then I read online how to apply and came across the setting of 5 for a drop spreader. Wait this differed to what the bag said at 7.25. This would make sense as to why I ran out. When comparing these two setting it has you using 45% more product. Next time I am going to measure a smaller area of my yard and double check the rate at which it is being applied is accurate. Scott’s, please check your settings and make sure they are correct. I used half again as much product as I was supposed to and I hope I don’t have adverse effects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kill the weeds and get a thicker lawn while doing so! Scott’s does it again! Easy to apply, I use my rotary spreader and no that within a week my lawn will be looking its best. Lawn is a nice dark green and weed free.

I applied at the end of April, beginning of May. After a week, weeds were dying and grass was taking back over. After a month, almost all weeds were dead and the whole lawn was back. Product works exactly as described. You can’t just spread it on and forget it. You have to follow the directions to get the best results. The results are simply what you would expect from the advertised results. This product delivers the results described. The only con, is it would not kill the type of weed in the picture I posted. I have 2 spots of weeds like this in my lawn that remain. I don’t know what kind of weed it is, but weed and feed couldn’t handle it. It destroyed the dandelions, now I have just grass instead of a pock marked lawn of dandelion. Great product!!!

I have used this product since 1978, when it was known as Scott's Turf +2-I think. In my neighborhoods, over time, those that use Scotts have superior lawns. Now Scott's is not the only factor, but in terms of feeding the lawn and killing most weeds you'll see in my part of the country, Scott's is granular gold and well worth the few dollars more Scott's users pay. The payback is quickly visible in a greener, healthier lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to excessive rain in our area getting the correct weather conditions to properly apply the weed and feed took a little while. When conditions were right I had a healthy amount of dandelion's and a couple patches of clover in the yard. Within just a couple days of applying the Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed they were noticeably wilting and the grass was deep green and looking great, This product works very very well and all I had to do was follow the directions.
