Wet grass, apply it. then give it 24-48 hours to adhere to weeds then water it in. Works exactly as I hoped. I'm currently in running for greenest grass in the neighborhood. maybe these people with bad results are over fertilizing or over/under watering. I don't know but this stuff worked great for me.

The front of our house which was built in 1875 is heavily treed so we get more weeds than grass. My husband applied this product to an area of the lawn that was heavy with dandelions. We had heavy rain for almost a week straight and when it stopped, we were thrilled to see the weeds gone and long, thick, healthy green grass in it's place. Wow, this is an amazing product that we didn't consider due to the chickens. Well they are penned in and the rest of the lawn around the house looks just as good as the front. Thank you Scotts, for giving us a lawn to be proud of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fertilizer was very effective and longer lasting than competing products. I was very pleased with the fertilizer. I have used it before and I will continue to use it. The weed killer was less effictive. The conditions for it to workj require the lawn to be wet (early morining) and it broadcasts where it may not be needed. I prefer to fertilize and treat weeds seperately.

I put down this bag of Scotts Turf Builder on a Thursday before a rain and 5 days later my lawn is looking greener. This was very easy to apply, and the instructions were easy to follow. I cannot say how well it has done at eliminating weeds as it has only been a few days. I am looking forward to the end results.

The only thing holding it back from an excellent overall rating was the recurrence of some clover. That could have been my fault. Aslo, my value rating was average because the coverage area didn't quite match that bag's rating. NO, it wasn't the spreader (Scotts) or setting. A 15K bag always covers my yard, this time it didn't come close.

I have been using this product the last 5 years following the instructions. I live in central california and trouble with clove and crabgrass. The first year I used this product I was happy with the results but the last 2 years I have used this product It doenst seem to work very well. I used in April and still have crabgrass and clove. It did feed the grass making in green but doesnt seem to work as well against weeds like it use to.

I decided to use Scotts Turf Builder Weed and Feed5 to get rid of the weeds and nurture my grass in the process. This formula is made up of WeedGrip Technology. It grips onto the weeds as well as the ones you can't see to eliminate them. It also helps to fertilize and thicken the grass, crowding out the weeds trying to grow. It can eliminate over 50 different lawn weeds. It was easy to apply with my Scotts Elite Lawn Spreader. Once I was finished, it took about a week before I saw the weeds dying. I like this product because it's a two-in-one product, it kills weeds and fertilizes my existing grass, plus it's quick and easy to apply. My grass looks so much greener since I have applied the Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed5.

This product is terrible. My lawn was green. Then I applied the spring turf builder after rain as the instructions using the Scott’s spreader. My lawn turned orange, then yellow . Now mainly dead . I never used a turf builder on lawns in my life and never had a problem. Many people recommended this , so I tried it. Terrible! Now I will have to have the lawn reseeded in the fall. I will not use this product.
