Our parents have a huge home and they sleep upstairs and in the recent heat wave--the upstairs temperatures reached in the upper 90's. So with that said, our parents have this unit in their bedroom and turn it on half an hour before bed--and they have been sleeping through the night it cool comfort. Both love the quietness of the unit and the sleek design.

Had it just over a week and so far so good. Has a whisper mode which cuts noise by about 1/2. Not having to empty water tray is a plus. Cools the space I bought it for. Only reason for 4 stars is an inherent problem/pain with all portables, exhaust hose. As I said so far does what we wanted well.

Wonderful.... we need to replace our old one which died. Did my research... keeper coming back to this one. Price was reasonable, reviews were positive, I have tried for over a month before. Now we only use for A/C. It's quite and even quieter with whisper mode on. There is a timer function which is a great addition. Easy to use and set up. Sams club was great with us. We had a broken roller and they were quick to answer my email and resolve the issue. If you get one enjoy.

This is the 5th DeLonghi Portable Air Conditioner that I have purchased! I have 3 in my own home and gave two to my daughter for use in her home! They are so efficient, quiet and dependable. I have tried other brands and non of them compare to this company's product!

With the recent heat wave I don't know what we would have done without this unit. It works! We have a 20 x 17 family room open to a 12 x 12 kitchen and this unit keeps both rooms comfortable. It is colder where the unit is located but all in all we are very satisfied with this purchase

I bought a house that had everything I wanted except central air which will have to wait. This unit is keeping a large part of family room and dining room a nice cool temperature. My only thought for improvement would be to work on the window insert part - it could be upgraded without much effort.

Air conditioner is just what was needed. It works great and looks good.
