This thing really works well. I am in the process of converting thousands of old photos to digital. It is much faster than a traditional scanner & gives me a highborns quality 1200 dpi file. I'm copying the files onto individual hard drives for several family members.

So far the software is very cumbersome like old printers. Registration is all manual and didn't pull Serial number via WIFI or USB for some reason, Had to manually enter all contact information. Then it asked me if I wanted to leave a review and when I clicked yes it opened in explorer instead of preferred browser. We will see if the rest of this product is old school.

I recently purchased The FF 680W in hopes to get better image quality in the photos I scanned compared to my document scanner. However, I'm very sorry to report that the quality of the images is very poor. It's great that you can scan quickly and at high resolution but it's negated by the terrible "noise" and grain present in the images.

The Epson FastFoto FF-680W is a great photo/document scanner that packs a lot of speed and features for its size. This scanner is an incredible product and a huge timesaver if you have a lot of documents and photos to scan and categorize. Hardware: The FF-680W is relatively small for a high-speed scanner, and the build quality is excellent. The fact it can scan photos at 80ppm is incredible, and the quality stands out up to 1200dpi. It connects to your computer via USB 3.0 or Wi-Fi connection which is a simple setup using WPS. I love the fact that the paper tray folds down right on top of the scanner body to make it as compact as possible, and it’s very smooth and easy to get ready to scan again. The ability to scan duplex and drop out blank pages saves so much time and works extremely well. Software: The Epson document and photo scanning software applications are filled with the important functions and are very easy to use. Just a few clicks and you can change whatever settings you want. It’s extremely fast and user-friendly to scan documents using your smartphone or computer and send them to Google Drive, Dropbox, or other cloud storage. The software features auto-enhance, crop, auto-rotate, and they work very well and fast while scanning. the FASTFOTO FF-680 W scanners; it is a scanner of great quality and of good price; quickly scan 35 photos horizontally with a beautiful color and brightness; works wirelessly for cell phone and tablet by means of interneth; first black and white colors; color and grays. very good scanners. I recommend it.

We used this scanner to scan 200 photos for our dad's memorial tribute video. What we thought was going to be endless hours on our flatbed scanner, turned out to be 10 minutes including installation. The Scanning portion took all of 3 minutes, if that. And we were the funeral home in charge of arrangements. Now, this photo scanner will be used to assist other families in their time of need.

I've been slowly converting old printed photos to digital copies using flatbed scanners on multifunction printers and even though this works just fine, it is very time consuming. When I heard a radio ad for the FastFoto FF-680W, I thought it might be worth a look to speed up the process. It was everything they said it was, fast, easy to use and I was able to scan 20 years of photos in about 8 hours. If you are looking for a fast-easy way to convert your print photos to digital copies, I would highly recommend this product!

I bought this scanner becasue I had an enormous number of old photos to scan and individual scans would have been inpossible. It does deliver high quality, but not excellent scans. I have not yet used it for documents. The feeder is excellent. Having said that, it was extemely difficult to set it up for wireless operation. The instructions were dated with older names of the apps that were needed. The instructions were inadequate. Once I used the direct connect to my laptop, the wirelss set-up went flawlessly. Epson should have explained this. The addition of more photo editing options would be a big enhancemnt as well as more choices for the file archetecture. Overall, a very good scanner although a bit on the priey side.

I bought this scanner recently so I could start preserving my old photographs. I cannot believe how quickly the scanner works! I was able to scan over 100 photos in a very short amount of time. It would have taken me days with old old printer/scanner. I would recommend this photo scanner to anyone who has a large number of print photos that they are looking to scan.

I was so excited to find a wifi enabled scanner because I don’t care to own a laptop. I immediately was prevented from downloading the set up on my iPad. I can scan with the ios app but the settings and functions are VERY limited. For example I am not able to automatically upload my photos to google drive as planned. I will attempt to move forward with my project, but its disappointing. I have a LOT of photos to scan which is why I invested in this product. I am not certain if I would recommend this product or not at this point.
