Digitizing family photos from last 30 years. This product just works. Waited a long time for the Epson version. 1200 dpi with enhancement takes some computer horsepower, be sure to match Epson OS version with your computer OS version for best results. Results are worth it and so easy for making digital (printed) albums. Thank you Epson.

I do some slides for friends and family for birthdays. I have done 4 this year parents for their kids 18th birthday. Scanning photos has never been easier. The quality is very good with a great enhancement feature. After understanding how the folders can be organized, the organization of photos became a very pleasant feature. Scanning documents is very fast. As I understand it though, you only can scan a document as a picture. Thats okay for archiving. All in all, I really like this machine.

Does both sides at the same time with automatic enhancement! This is a great device. It is small and compact. It is wireless, so I can put it in my bedroom where my photos are and scan to my computer downstairs. Downloading software was a pain but once I got it up and running everything worked perfectly. The downloading file must be huge because it kept erroring out and I had to restart it several times. It would be helpful if a disk was included. I was very happy to see that notes or captions written on the back of photos are automatically scanned. The quality of the scans are remarkable. It gives you 2 versions of each scan: the first one is exactly like the original and also an improved version so you can choose which one you like better. You can scan hundreds of photos in an hour. This is a also great for receipts and business expenses for your taxes. You can keep everything much more organized if you have it scanned. This will come in very handy to scan all of our family photos that are in albums so we can digitalize them. I am also going to use it for old documents that can be OCR'd into new articles and posts for my business. This is a lot faster than our old flatbed scanner! Overall, this is a great scanner and does exactly what it says it will do. It will save you a lot of time and effort. Downloading the software is the only problem I had, otherwise this is a remarkable machine and worth every penny. We used this scanner to scan 200 photos for our dad's memorial tribute video. What we thought was going to be endless hours on our flatbed scanner, turned out to be 10 minutes including installation. The Scanning portion took all of 3 minutes, if that. And we were the funeral home in charge of arrangements. Now, this photo scanner will be used to assist other families in their time of need.

I bought this scanner 2 weeks ago and WOW is it fast and easy to use. I use the highest resolution 1,200 DPI and my pictures come out great. I am scanning thousands of family pictures and I love the feature that gives you 2 pictures - one original and one adjusted by the machine, which is generally better than the original picture. I have scanned 2,000 pictures so far (1,000 yesterday), and no problems with dust showing on the pictures at all. What a huge advance over flat bed scanners!!!!! I am super pleased! Paul Herr

I have not really used the scanner yet, but the installation via wifi is a royal pain. I use Netgear Orbi and the sync button did NOT work for WPS. After 30 minutes of messing around I just opted for USB connection. It would not be soo difficult to simply let the user put a PW in. I can’t stand WPS!

The scanner mechanically works fine but there is some very noticeable streaking, particularly the blue channel. There is no dirt on the lens. The capture software leaves a lot to be desired. Non-intuitive and ultimately frustrating. No parameters to set for the "auto correction" which usually overcooks the photo. The streaking is also not corrected by the software, even though there is a setting in the capture software. Flatbed scanners produce a better result but are very time consuming.

When I first looked at the picture of this scanner, it was hard to believe it was designed to scan pictures. It looked like my previous scanner, which was a fast document scanner. This one will scan documents just fine, but it is a very fast picture scanner, and it does a great job! Everything is pretty well automated, as to where the pictures go, etc. I love the speed and the quality of the picture scans. I could not be happier.

The Epson FastFoto FF680W is a great compact size scanner that does not take up too much space.I was really impressed with the size and the ability to scan the picture within a reasonable time. The Epson FastFoto FF-680W can scan both sides of the document or picture.It tool me less than 1 minute to scan 30 photos. When using the scanner to restore or edit photos i find it easier to use Epson Scan Smart Software you can crop help remove red eyes and many more features. Not only did I use the scanner for my pictures but once they were finished It was easy for me to upload to my dropbox account. I was able to scan receipts to my business folder so I can later use it for my tax purposes for next year. I received a small and light equipment to scan photos and documents and it is excellent. I am not very expert with the electronics but I managed to install the software following the instructions, it took a while but I could do it without any problem and with the newest version of it, it is currently connected to the PC through the USB cable that it brings, but also I can connect to it from my cell phone to scan and send the file to Google Drive, which is the program I use to archive my documents. I'm using it to basically scan the hundreds of drawings my 7-year-old daughter has made since she learned to hold a pencil, so the arrangement of the tray as a common printer is quite practical for that, and I have to emphasize that it is very quick the process because I can put several of the drawings at once and thus keep me unoccupied, in terms of the quality of the image is excellent and maintains the details and colors, I can almost say that it improves and highlights the colors. My family in the distance is happy to see the album I'm completing on Facebook with my new team and my daughter happy to see her artwork on the computer. Thank you so much.
