Superb document and Photo scanner

I have been using the scanner for a year and it is both the best and most reliable that I have used. It is easy to set up, use and service. I would recommend it to both friend and foe. All Epson needs to do now is develop an equally fast and useable slide scanner!

A real life saver

We bought this a couple of months ago and so far have scanned over 20,000 photos with it. We have about 100,000 to go so I should check back in with you all then. So far this device is amazing, it really does scan 1 a second its very impressive to watch. I typically load up about 40 at a time and it just whizzes' through them. The software is very competent and easy to use as well. I highly recommend this if you have a lot to scan.

Perfect Solution

I am still in the process of learning how I want to permanently Scan 43 years of photos that have been sadly boxed out of sight. I have thousands and thousands of photos and the grouping of them harder than using the Scanner. I use a low dpi of 300 for documents and a much higher dpi for photos. Easy to do but at times I forget to revert to the lower dpi but that is on me and not the Scanner. I am extremely happy with my purchase and wish I would have bought a great scanner like this many years ago.

Very Good Photo Enhancing software

I have scanned 1,500 photos and am extremely pleased with the results. The software program included with the scanner almost always produces a better document than the original. It is especially good oh photo’s that have changed color. I have only had one photo where the enhanced photo had a wrong color.

My search for a credible photo scanner has finally ended

I, like many of us, have a ton of photos from 1950s (parents time) till almost late 80s and needed a simple to use, high speed and smart photo scanner. Was tired of 1 picture at a time scanners that do not work with OSX and general purpose scanners that are dumb when it comes to high volume photo scanning. I finally have my problem resolved with the FF-680W. what I love is that it can handle paper scanning A4, B*, Legal and a ton of other sizes gracefully. Helps me get rid of a whole filing cabinet of files. Great job Epson. Love you guys for this product. This is now part of my dream home office set up. Sits pretty with the small foot print and is available on demand working on USB and wireless .... great product. glad I bought it....

Fast & comes with good scanning software

I've scanned about 300 photos now, in three sessions. I've owned scanners for about 20 years, with my photo scanners being flatbed. One document scanner that feeds similar to this one. This is hands down the best photo scanner I've ever owned. Fast and reliable. I really like the Epson FastFoto Software. Clean copies, often color corrected and I especially like how it prompts you at the beginning for a descriptive name to use for the folder in which it stores batches of scans.VERY helpful.

Worth Every Penny!

I bought this a little over a month ago, and love it. If your time is valuable, this is the device for you. Its ability to scan at a quick speed allows one to get though photos and documents at a pace that doesn't have you pulling out your hair. It's a organizer's dream.

FF-680W

I need this to work off of my mac laptop, not just my phone. I'm not sure it will work since I'm having to jump through hoops to figure this out! Pictures off my phone look pretty good, but I can't max my phone out that way. I need these to go to files off my computer, into an external hard drive. Help please!!!

High Quality

My first try at connecting the Epson scanner didnt go smoothly. I first tried connecting through a usb cord which may have been my problem. I uninstalled the software then reinstalled and went the wifi route and everthing went great. I was up and running in no time. I am starting a new scrapbook project with my husbands army photos and the Epson FastFotoFF-680W Wireless High-speed Photo and Document Scanner System is perfect for scanning and uploading his pictures. I have scanned about every size photo there is and none got stuck. The software is going to be a huge timesaver. I'm including an example of a photo taken in 1982 that has aged over the years plus the version the software enhanced in just seconds. Scanning his documents were just as easy. I am very impressed and excited to get on with the rest of the projects I have been putting off for years. I would recommend this scanner to anyone looking for a high quality product. You won't be disappointed. This is a review for the Epson FastFoto FF-680W Wireless High-speed Photo and Document Scanner System that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Out-Of-Date Software, No printed manuals

I haven't scanned anything yet and already I'm extremely annoyed: Epsom hasn't updated its installation software to include the updated WPA2 software BECAUSE THEY SUPPORT ONLY THE ORIGINAL WPA, WHICH THE WIFI CONSORTIUM DEEMS "INSECURE" AND IS OT SUPPORTED BY MY ROUTER FOR THAT REASON. In contrast, setting up my Brother laser printer was easy. It's on the network and accessible from anywhere in the house. It takes an engineering degree from MIT to install this printer on WiFi Oh wait, I have one and I couldn't too it. Sigh.
