We have owned several Shark vacuums and were excited for this one to arrive. Sadly after 5 uses the motor burned out! Since we ordered it online, on sale, we were unable to exchange it in store. They wanted us to take the refund and repurchase it at a higher price? Strange. So needless to say we returned it and went with another brand at another store.

Vacuum cleaner is 5 stars but customer service is 0 stars. I ordered vacuum cleaner as a pick-up. Big mistake!!! I did receive email that it would be ready for pick-up between 3 and 4. At 4 o'clock I still had not heard anything so I drove to Concord to pick it up. At the store I was told I needed a conformation number which I did not have because I had not received a second email. (btw I received the second email after 6 pm) I needed the vacuum cleaner that day, so I bought it at the store. Now I am being charged for the vacuum cleaner I did not pick up. That does not make any sense and Sam's club is giving me the round around. I am very disappointed very bad customer service.

My 30 year-old Kirby vacuum finally retired. After some thorough research, opted for the Dyson. Brought it home, tried it out, returned it the next day. (BTW - Sam's was no hassle.) With two hands, I could hardly push the Dyson over my shag area rug. The auto adjust did not adjust high enough to handle two-inch shag. Upon further research, reluctantly purchased the Shark Pro. I say reluctantly because although I believe it is an American company, it is made in China, which for a host of reasons I swore I would never do. I am sooooo glad I made an exception in this case. Best! Vacuum! Ever! This thing sucks like Monday morning following the 4-day Thanksgiving holiday. It maneuvers, twists and turns very easily. Even without the beater brush on, it actually seems to self-propel. Remember that shag rug? Vacuums it like a lawn mower over a fairway - all the threads standing up at attention, with all the nice directional lines like a major league infield. I wish my car had headlights like the Shark. A set of LEDs on both sides, I was shocked to see all the dust and stuff that it illuminated on my wood floors, and the cobwebs clinging to the legs of the furniture. Removing the magic wand to suck up those cobwebs took a literal second. And replacing the wand another second. So transitioning from vacuuming the floor to cleaning the corners was effortless. I have not yet tried detaching the canister to vacuum the stairs, but detaching it is easy - just pushing a button. And reconnecting it is just as easy - just pushing it back onto the vacuum thingy. The canister is also very lightweight, so holding it while doing the stairs, as they show on the box, is no problem. I've never been so excited about a vacuum before, but have never vacuumed a family room, bedroom and bathroom so quickly. I do wish it had one of those brush attachments that you can use to dust the top of furniture. Other than that, I am extremely pleased I made the purchase, even with the whole China thing. Just hope it lasts. It does have a 5-year LIMITED warranty, whatever that means.

I bought this vacuum after noticing that after my housekeeper would vacuum with our 4 year old Hoover that my sinuses would start acting up. I researched Shark, Dyson, and Oreck as I wanted a premium vacuum. What kept me from going with Oreck is the disposable bags. I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. What kept me from going with Dyson is the reviewers on YouTube that demonstrated how on hard surfaces it has a very hard time picking up larger objects like Cheerios, it mostly just pushes them around on the floor!! Being that my home is about 50% carpet and 50% hard floors I decided that I wanted to go with a Duo clean for that front soft roller that not only grabs larger objects and sucks them in, but it also dusts/polishes the floor clean! I went to Shark's website to compare models and specs and found this model. It seems to be a newer model (hence my review here on Sam's website is the first non-promotional review left). I searched google for the 3 model numbers for this model which are just differences in color and found that I could get this one at Sam's Club and that it was $60 off! This thing is amazing!!! I have a 5700 sq ft home with 3 carpeted staircases and once I started vacuuming I COULD NOT STOP! I am blown away at how much filth my family and I had been living in! The lift away feature made doing all of my staircases a breeze. The appliance attachment is genius. The suction of this vacuum is amazing! I kept the suction power to the maximum over carpets even though they recommend to lower it to make it easier to move the vacuum. I kid you not, it has so much suction it becomes much harder to move the vacuum over carpeting!!! I powered through it (6'4" man) just because I wanted to get as much stuff out of the carpets as I possibly could. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone! I am planning on buying another one for my office as well.
