Excellent
Great Product
Great Pet Vacuum !
We purchased this vacuum # 3 in an attempt to find a good hardwood floor machine with pet hair (Golden Retriever). Pro's: 1. Has an outstanding l o n g cord 2. The dual rough/smooth bearer bar works great on the long and short dog hair from our 2 muts 3. Easy to dump the basket and clean the filters 4. The handle / hose releases with the push of a button and allows you to spot clean (baseboards) easily 5. When you stand it upright - it automatically turns off the beater bar Cons: 1. This is a cord grabber - especially it's own ! It cleans great and that same tenacity includes all cords lol 2. You have to USE it - it doesn't clean all by itself.. Ha Ha Ha. overall it's the best machine I've tried for pet hair / hard floors and short pile small rugs (has a rug setting) I highly recommend it. Hopefully Shark will support this product long into the future !
Very Disappointing, Like A Cheap Knock-off
This is my 5th Shark vacuum. If it were my 1st, I'd have never bought another. It's the short cord on the wrong side but more than that, the machine is slow and lumbering and lacks suction. It behave like a cheap knockoff of a fantastic brand. The canister barely snaps closed or snaps in place. There is nothing good about it. I've had it a month or so. It's garbage.
So, it WORKS!
I have a Shark vacuum, which is about five years old, and I thought it still had all the power I needed to get the carpets and floors clean. I mean, the canister was still getting full of dog fur and other stuff that comes with living in a house; I just wished it did a better job on our vinyl floors. Even though I was not looking for a new vacuum, I saw that Sam's had this one a hundred dollars off their regular price, so I did some research to see if it was worth the investment. I found one great review after another, so I thought I would purchase one and see if all these reviews were accurate. After all, I needed the floors as clean as possible for our just starting to crawl five and half-month-old granddaughter whose Mommy brings over to see us every few days or so. It was pretty easy to put together, and I thought I would put it to the test. Now, I had already vacuumed my floors once today with my older Shark, so I did not expect to be as blown away as I was. That carpet in our living room that I thought was clean? The canister filled up twice before I finished with that room. The rug under our table that looked clean was not as clean as I thought. I thought if those rugs are that dirty, I would continue and see how dirty the rest of my "I thought were clean rugs" were. Every rug or carpet that I had already vacuumed that day filled up the canister with stuff my other Shark left behind. The real test was my vinyl floors. We had two cats and a dog, and getting the fur off of those floors is something I find I am always doing. With my old Shark, I would vacuum and then use a cloth mop to get what the vacuum missed. Not with this vacuum. I put the setting on hard floors and found that it got up every piece of fur without fail. The lights on this vacuum make it easy to see where the stuff is; they are very bright. I was so happy that this vacuum was doing such a great job that I vacuumed every floor in our 3800 sq. foot house. Even the stairs are no longer a problem with the detachable canister. If you are looking for a vacuum that takes care of what you need a vacuum to take care of this, one will do the job. I have not used all the attachments so I cannot speak to all of them; the crevice one works great. My only complaints about a Shark are the cord and how it just hangs there and gets in my way all the time and the fact that they tend to tip over if you are not careful. BUT, I can live with those things after seeing how much dirt it got off of my clean floors.
The Shark DuoClean Lift-Away Pro is a no-hair-left
The Shark DuoClean with Zero-M Lift-Away Pro is like having a personal cleaning assistant with superpowers. 💪 This vacuum glides from carpet to hardwood without missing a beat, and the DuoClean feature is chef's kiss—two brushrolls working together to deep-clean and polish floors at the same time. The Zero-M technology truly lives up to its promise: no more stopping to cut tangled hair off the brushroll—yes, even with long-haired humans and pets running around! The Lift-Away Pro canister detaches effortlessly for stairs, ceilings, and furniture. And the suction? Let's just say it finds crumbs you didn't know existed. 🌀
This review is NOT part of a promotion!
I bought this vacuum after noticing that after my housekeeper would vacuum with our 4 year old Hoover that my sinuses would start acting up. I researched Shark, Dyson, and Oreck as I wanted a premium vacuum. What kept me from going with Oreck is the disposable bags. I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. What kept me from going with Dyson is the reviewers on YouTube that demonstrated how on hard surfaces it has a very hard time picking up larger objects like Cheerios, it mostly just pushes them around on the floor!! Being that my home is about 50% carpet and 50% hard floors I decided that I wanted to go with a Duo clean for that front soft roller that not only grabs larger objects and sucks them in, but it also dusts/polishes the floor clean! I went to Shark's website to compare models and specs and found this model. It seems to be a newer model (hence my review here on Sam's website is the first non-promotional review left). I searched google for the 3 model numbers for this model which are just differences in color and found that I could get this one at Sam's Club and that it was $60 off! This thing is amazing!!! I have a 5700 sq ft home with 3 carpeted staircases and once I started vacuuming I COULD NOT STOP! I am blown away at how much filth my family and I had been living in! The lift away feature made doing all of my staircases a breeze. The appliance attachment is genius. The suction of this vacuum is amazing! I kept the suction power to the maximum over carpets even though they recommend to lower it to make it easier to move the vacuum. I kid you not, it has so much suction it becomes much harder to move the vacuum over carpeting!!! I powered through it (6'4" man) just because I wanted to get as much stuff out of the carpets as I possibly could. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone! I am planning on buying another one for my office as well.
Best vacuum
I Love this this vacuum so much . I Have been Wanting one for a while now . And finally got one And I couldn't be happier . I Lobe that it picks up really good on my hard wood floors and I love the light and it does a great job on my carpet too .
Great suction but rollers still need to be cleaned
This is a great vacuum so far. It has great suction for picking up dog hair but keep an eye on the rollers. They still get hair wrapped around them! I've cleaned mine twice so far after only a week of owning the vacuum. I'm hoping my old Hoover just wasn't picking the hair up and with use of the new shark, the hair will start to dissipate in time. I have 2 English Springer Spaniels with long coat so the shark is needed! Pic attached to show rollers. It does not self clean. But I would say the suction power is the best I've had.

Another expensive disappointment
I expected more from the vacuum cleaner. One of the major disappointments is that you can't stop the brush roller. It has a high and low speed position, but no "off" position. That doesn't work for rugs that one cannot use a brush roller on at any speed. I missed that in my shopping for the product, probably because I really wanted a vacuum with lights. I got the lights, but no off position for the brush roller. To me that puts it in the same class as all the other expensive vacuums that doesn't do what I needed. I wonder sometimes if any of the designer of these expensive products have every vacuumed a house with hardwood floors, regular carpet, and rugs that are to be vacuumed with the brush roller off. I'm sure I'm not the only one that needs that versitility.
It could be better
I like this vacuum, with the exception of the attachment and the ability to bypass the body of thr vaccum and connect the handle to the motorized head. The vacuum comes with a rotating brush head attachment but that is only powered by the suction of the vacuum and bogs down when you try to vacuum carpeted stairs. So the only way to truly get your stairs deeply cleaned is by taking the vacuum itself and lifting it onto each step and vacuuming it. This is an awkward and heavy way to do this but it seems to be the only way to really get in there. The attachments do not include a brush tool which in my opinion should've been standard and the under appliance tool should've been included as an extra bonus. Overall the vacuum cleans very well on rugs—low and shag and then bare floors by disengaging the beater bar. Another thing that's sort of wonky is emptying the dust cup. You have to empty from the bottom and then from the top because stuff gets into the cup up top.
