My Review for 29WK50S-P

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this monitor. It was a reasonable price and the resolution is the best I've seen so far. Not crazy about where the power button is but I'll get used to that.

Bad monitor

Bought this monitor about 2 months ago. Today is has lines going across the monitor about an inch wide right across the middle of the screen. Even when unplugged from the computer.

Nice Monitor

Great Display, But with QA issues.

I bought this monitor a couple weeks back and I do really like it. Its my first 1080p Ultrawide display and I'm mostly satisfied with the purchase. The display is bright and the speakers are fine. I have had no ghosting or other imaging problems so I'm very satisfied on that front. The big problem is, I would say be prepared for issues because my display from day one has had a problem where the outer-layer of the screen is NOT flush/inserted properly. On both the top right and left its very noticeable if you look at it and you can definitely see if you look at an angle. Normally I would return it or RMA it with LG directly but as I require a monitor right now and its not preventing it from functioning I'm just going to deal with it. It does however raise concerns over how well these particular models are manufactured and QA so i would definitely caution purchasing one unless your fine taking the chance yours's will or wont have any issues like this or possibly worse.

returning

Honestly, the monitor is great. No problems or issues with the color. I’m not using it for gaming, just for work and the ultrawide is much more preferable than a dual monitor with extra cables. The deal breaker is that it tilts downwards at about a 10 degree angle so I find myself slouching to be at eye level. I have the 34” at work and think I’ll just spend the extra bucks to get that rather than a mount. The stand on that one holds it truly vertical and I don’t have to bend to see the screen. I don’t know what the point of this angled stand is. Will be returning it this evening.

good picture but where are the speakers?

EVERYTHING WAS GOING WELL UNTIL I PLUGGED IT UP AND FOUND OUT IT DIDN’T HAVE INTEGRATED SPEAKERS. IT WOULD’VE BEEN NICE IF THEY WOULD’VE MENTIONED THAT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT IT DOESN’T COME WITH INTEGRATED SPEAKERS. I DON’T WANT TO HAVE TO SIT UP ON THE MONITOR WITH HEADPHONES ON ALL DAY. SO I DON’T RECOMMEND ANYONE GET THIS UNLESS THEY LIKE SITTING UP CLOSE TO THE MONITOR WITH HEADPHONES PLUGGED UP TO THE MONITOR ALL DAY.”

Brightness

I've had my UltraWide for almost 7 months now. Its a wonderful monitor for gaming I just wish it was as bright as my old Samsung monitor.

Monitor is super dim, it say 200 to 250 nits but it nowhere near that. My old monitor is 250 nits and here's a side by side

Burned Out

I purchased this monitor 2 years and 8 months ago and it is no longer working. I used it 3 days a week 8 hours each day. I did expect for it to last longer, so I’m not gonna purchase this brand again.

too narrow

I bought this and am returning it after a few hours. It is wide but narrow. Pity there were none on display in the club so I couldn't see what it actually looked like before buying.
