This is my second set of these tires in two years; however, do not think the tires do not last. The set I just replaced had just shy of 100,000 miles on them and would have more except something was in the road and put a hole in one of the tires so I replaced them all. These tires handle great and last a long-time. For the price these tires cannot be any better!

We purchased a set (4) of Defenders in 2014 and only have about 38,000 miles on them and the tread is already half gone. I went back to the store where we purchased them and had them inspected. They said we MIGHT get another 30,000 miles out of them if we're lucky. They also told us that this is a known problem with this tire BUT because we didn't keep the receipt they could not offer any kind of warranty on the tires. Extremely disappointed in the quality and service specially considering what we paid for them!

I have put on 45k miles, my tread depth is 6. I purchased the tires in Nov 2015, my main requirement was "quiet tires". Previous tires (not Michelin) where very quiet. My dealership was running a tire sale, the service person assured me the Defender would be quieter, he was wrong. I have a hybrid, so keeping the overall noise level of the Highlander low is important to me. I drive city and with several 3K+ mile trips every year. I won't buy these tires again, and it looks like they won't even last the full 90K. Everything the add said these tires would do has not occurred for me.

My 2011 Hyundai Elantra is very well maintained. Tires were purchased brand new in June 2014. They were rotated every 6,000 km and the cold tire pressure was checked and adjusted, as needed, one per month. After 47,000 km driven, my tires are already down to 4.5 mm of remaining tread on the front tires and 3.09 mm of remaining tread on the rear tires. I will not buy these tires again since they're not worth the premium cost.

I love Michelin products, but these tires didn't last as long as expected. I was told more city driving decreases the total miles the tires will last. They did last me 4 years which is a long time in the Texas heat. But they are down to 2/32 and had to be replaced. I will say that while I owned them there was never a problem. Just would have liked them better if they had lasted longer.

Bought Michelin tires 5 years ago and have been very happy. One of the front tires was damaged from a pothole and so new tires were needed. I may have been able to get another year from the tires but didn't want to just replace the one damaged tire. I bought 4 new tires and the car rides much better ... still drove nice with the old tires but the new once ase soo much better. Very good tire ... quite the entire 5 years which I could not say of theprevious brand before Michelin ... it was so noisy after the second year I had to replace. Only Michelin from here on!!

We bought these tires for our Honda Civic and was very disappointed that they were so loud. The road noise from these tires is unbearable. Also, we hit a small puddle of water one day on the freeway on ramp doing about 70 km/hr and the tires hydroplaned like you wouldn't believe. Scary, it almost put us into the next lane. I will never buy these tires again or recommend them to anyone. These are probably the worse tires I have ever bought.

I was disappointed in these tires - they were extremely worn after only about 45,000 miles. Even my service advisor at the Honda dealer was surprised at how quickly they wore out. I expected them to perform better, especially since they are advertised as lasting for up to 90,000 miles. I will not buy these again.

I'm very pleased with these tires. We received 5in. of snow 1/5/17 and I was able to get to work without getting stuck. I didn't slip and slide all over the place. This is my first time buying this brand. The reason I purchased them was because they are top of the line and exceeded all the rest in standards.

I have always been reluctant to purchase Michelins due to the premium price that they command. Recently I purchased a set of Defenders and noticeable difference in the ride of my vehicle....much smoother and a highly stable feel regardless of the driving conditions. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Michelin Defender and will be purchasing them again in the future, which may not be for quite sometime given the longevity warranty.
