The tires handle well but have seriously reduced the mileage. Immediately we went from averaging over 60/mpg all the way down to just above 50/mpg. I read other reviews indicating these tires worked well with the Prius but for our 2011 they are not doing well.

These are great tires! There quite and handle good. This is my second set I just put on my 09 Ford Fusion. The first set I put on my car I got 91000 miles out of them. I just made sure I rotated them every 5000 to 7000 miles and make sure the alignment on the car is good.

I have 26000 miles on these tires and they are already down to 6/32. This means that in about 19000 or much less (the thread is going much faster now) more miles, or a total mileage of less than 45000, I will reach the "replace tire" level of 3/32. This car is mainly driven by my wife who is a very gentle driver. These are my second set of Defenders with the same problem. I believe I will not buy Michelin next time.

I just repurchased a second set of Michelin Defenders for my primary car and also have Defenders on my backup car! I drive 1,600 miles a month and the ride comfort and handling on both wet and dry roads is second to none compared to all the tires I have ever purchased. I am 57 years old and I encourage all my friends and family to buy Michelins and they all agree after owning them that they are excellent in both quality and price!

I am not a stranger to Michelin Tires. I have owned them in the past. Nothing else compares to the quality and service you get from a Michelin tire. I replaced most of my front end before I figured out the new tires I bought from a giant retailer were not worth placing on my truck, I bought another new set that were an upgrade and still had really bad shaking, I had them balanced and hard road tested and was told the shaking was due to the poor quality tires. I bought a new set of Michelin tires, you guessed it no shaking at all. I could have saved myself a lot of money and grief by buying Michelins to begin with.

Bought my car new in 2012 and it came with Michelin Defenders. Never had this brand tires before but after they were worn to close to nothing, I had to tell my wife it's time for new tires. She said no way ...they still drive like new. And she was right. They did. Even after 72,000 miles. Never felt these tires hydroplane and no issues with uneven wear. Excellent tires !!!

I rotated these tires every 6000 miles and checked the inflation frequently but all I could get was 35,700 miles. I was expecting 55,000 but apparently that was a high expectation. I now need to replace them, but with what brand? I have been running Michelin for 45 years and love the ride but this tire isn't cheap and having to replace them every 2 years is ridiculous. I'm very disappointed in Michelin.

Over the last 40 years whichever vehicle myself or my family had we would always put on Michelin. They are very reliable,great value for the dollar. They handle the road excellent very quiet while driving.I would personally purchase these tires for my children that's how confident I am with Michelin

I put a new set of defender xt on my equinox this spring and can't hear myself think. The noise is giving me a headache every time I drive over 25 kph. The original set was great - same tire, just a different year. I don't know what the problem is. Tried rebalancing, but it made no different. Very very disappointed. Can't hear anyone talking in the car, can't enjoy my ride anymore. The grip on the road is fine so can't determine what to say about the tire. Might have to say poor due to the incredible noise.

Put a set of Defenders on our Camry just under three years ago. The tires met our expectations with road noise, handling and wear. At 105,600 miles later, I am shopping for another set. There is no tire on the market to get 105k miles. Worth every penny!
