First set performed so well, purchased second set.  Best all-season tire I have ever owned.  Good mileage - 55,000 miles on first set but could have gone more miles.  Winter (snow) was coming and first time driver was getting this car so replaced with a new set.  Great traction in snow/ice for an all-season tire.

Bought these tires about 3 weeks ago for a trip from OH to FL on our mini van.  The trip down was dry weather and the ride was very quiet and smooth.  The way back home however was down pour and high cross winds.  The tires really held up during that trip.  I hit standing water on the freeway going about 60 mph at about 11:30PM, scared me, but noticed that the van held it's grip to the road.  If I had to do it all over again I would and will buy these tires in the future.

I bought these on the recommendation of Consumer Reports. I departed from standard procedure in that I got these top-rated all-season car tires for my SUV (instead of tires designed for an SUV). I am happy with the handling. They seem to do better than previous tires in fuel efficiency. My only gripe is that there might be too much road feel, if there can be too much of that.

I'm really pleased with these new Generals. Took a 2000 mile road trip to the N.C. mountains are they stuck like glue thru the switchbacks. They're much quieter then the Michelins they replaced and have a smoother ride feel. The wet traction is excellent.

I have have had no issues with these tires since my purchase in 2020. I usually drive close to 20K miles per year, but the pandemic put a halt to that! So I don't have the long term highway experience I was expecting to have. But they are much quieter than my previous run flat tires and the tread is great in the rain. No real snow experience yet.

I had bought my last set of Altimax RT43 tires for my 05 Civic Hybrid which lasted me for 60k miles.  No issues with traction in either rain or snow.....very please with my purchase. I'm hoping my current set will last just as long and with 93hp under the hood I am confident they will.  Burnouts unavailable.

I bought these tires last fall before any snow flew. I needed good tires due to my heavy long travels. The first time I drove in slick weather, I was impressed with the grip of these tires. I purposely tried to slip, but I had a difficult time doing it. Over the winter I had to travel 3 hours in wintry conditions. Cars were sliding off the road and it was very scary. I had my car in 4 wheel and the tires did not let me down, up steep icy hills even that other 4x4 could not get up. I would highly recommend these tires!

Got these for an 02 A6 that my wife drives. No issues other than a nail she hit within 2 weeks of getting them. Glad for that TR road hazard warranty! I haven't heard any noticeable noise from the cars and put winters on shortly after they were installed, so I haven't had them for long. I like that these were available in the XL rating. Her winters are Generals as well and I've had no issues. Nice traction in Pittsburgh winters, which while not all that snowy, are indeed icy!

I've always had General Tires on my truck and never had a problem. ( AT 2's).  So I decided to stay with General's and put the Altimax RT 43's on my car .  They have been the best set of tires to date that I've had on this car. 7 years and 4 different tire brands . I'll be staying with General's from now on !

Replace Michelin tires on my 2011 Acura TSX Sportswagon in 2019 with General Tire's AltiMAX RT 43 and they performed so well that I replaced the Michelin tires on my wife's 2014 Toyota Venza in 2021.  While I cannot speak for other General Tires, the AltiMAX RT43 outperform the Michelin tires I replaced.  The AltiMAX RT43 have far better four-season experience than the Michelin's especially for wet weather griping (both snow and rain).  The average tread life for my last three sets of Michelin tires on the TSX Sportswagon was about 30k and the tread life of the Michelin tires on the Venza was less than 20k miles. So far, the tread life of the AltiMAX RT 43 on the TSX Sportswagon has substantially outperformed the Michelin tires.  The AltimMAX RT 43 tires are outstanding four season performers.  The price for the AltiMAX RT 43 tires were substantially cheaper cost, so they represent more bang for your buck too.
