These tires are noisier than average as indicated in Consumer Reports but worth it for the safety of performance. Used on a 2011 Kia Sorento two-wheel-drive SUV the noise level on most interstate highway speeds would be objectionable to people who are used to riding in luxury cars but would seem fine to jeep and older pickup truck drivers.  In my application steering is incredibly precise and very controllable under all conditions. I don't know about traction because I have never had wheel slip occur in either acceleration or braking, possibly partly because I don't tailgate in order to save fuel.

I bought these tires altimax rt43 four months ago because of the great reviews the reviews were right these tires handle great are very quiet . I previously had michelins and was not that impressed but the altimax rt43 are a much better performing tire as well as a good value.I would certainly buy these tires again when i need tires in the future.

First set performed so well, purchased second set.  Best all-season tire I have ever owned.  Good mileage - 55,000 miles on first set but could have gone more miles.  Winter (snow) was coming and first time driver was getting this car so replaced with a new set.  Great traction in snow/ice for an all-season tire.

Very little road noise. Previous tires were Goodyear and was disappointed by how noisy the Goodyear's were at highway speed. Nice handling on wet roads. Will consider these tires when replacing tires on the other car. Rated a 3 on fuel economy since I haven't noticed a difference.

Had the T rated Altimax RT43 on my Hyundai Elantra and currently have the H rated on my Mazda CX-5.  It has handled dry, wet, slush, and snow very well.  I am cautious driver and use my head when driving in the elements.  With these tires, it just adds to my confidence and getting to and from safely.  During wet, slush, snow you may have to take it a tad slower than normal.  I have noticed a little slip on off and on ramps if your talking it faster than normal.  This tire will let you know its limits.  If it does break loose in any weather, it because your driving too fast or your tire tread is low.  I have no problem with balancing and rotation.  Wear has been even.  I am always researching tires and so far, this has been my number 1 choice for all season tires.  I have them on my mother in laws Honda Civic as she is frightened to drive during rain.  She still has fear of driving in the rain, but she goes out in it due to the confidence of the tires on her car!  Fuel Efficiency may have dropped a MPG or MPG 1/2 but no more and not all the time.  I always make sure my tire has the proper amount of air in it monthly. (I add 3-4 psi over my recommended pressure amounts due to fluctuations.)  Yes, I would purchase again.

At 15k miles on a RWD Charger, these tires continue to please.  Handling is exceptional, noise is low, and value is high.  Im not sure Im as impressed with Wet traction as many professional reviews.  Its relatively easy to break the rear end loose on wet roads.  Other than the OEM continentals, this is my fave pair of tires - thats saying something with 300k plus on the odometer.

I would not recommend buying these. There is obviously a bad batch of tires being made. In less than 500 miles a sidewall bulge on the front passenger tire appeared. Dealership Replaced under warranty, now new tire with same dot and manufacturer date with around 1k miles has another bulge! This is my first set of general tires, never heard anything bad about them, but i have never had an issue with sidewalls an any other tire brand. I would understand if I was a teenager curbing my vehicle everywhere I turned, but this is absolutely not the case. Extremely disappointed in my purchase.

My Mercedes Benz 4matic has such a quieter, smoother ride.  I'm extremely picky about dependability and performance.   The handling in the snow and rain has also improved dramatically.  I will never buy another fancy tire name again.  You won't be disappointed!!

We've bought the expensive, top of the line Michelin tires for both of our vehicles for the past several years. The size we needed for our Ford Edge wasn't available a few months ago, due to the pandemic closures, so we went with our trusted supplier's recommendation to try a similar tire from General. We are very satisfied with the ride and performance.

I bought a second set of these tires for my work car because the set that came on the car was very smooth riding, quite, and I got really good mileage.  This second set is proving to be just as good. I drive about 200 miles per day.  I then bought a set of General tires for my truck also and they have been awesome too.
