I purchased the AltiMax RT43 tires for a Lexus ES350 which had Michelin Energy tires on it.  The Michelins were very noisy and the tire tread was worn out at 28k miles.  The AltiMax RT43 tires are very quite and preform well on snow and ice.  I have less than 5k miles on the new tires at this time.  The real test is when they reach 50k = miles.

Feels like cement tires at highway speed, like tires are made of concrete, thumpy, clunky, wobbly, loud and all over the road, horrible in rainy weather, hate to see what they're like in the snow, sorry to have made the purchase, salesman raved about them, come to find out I overpaid for cheap tires.

Have put about 7k on these tires on my Lexus LS.  They are quiet, they handle well and so great in the rain.  Can't speak about the snow.  Or about their longevity yet.  I got the T rated so there would be an extra 10k on the mileage warranty, my days of exceeding 118 mph are behind me.  :)    These tires rate in the top 3 or 4 in Consumer Reports and they are like 2 points only in rating behind the top Michelin Premier A/S.  At only 60-70% of the cost of the Michelin and with a longer tire warranty, I was persuaded to try them and I very pleased.

Bought a set for a 2009 g6, great tire for all weather.  Previously purchased a set for a 2008 Dodge Avenger.  Great headwear, low road noise, and excellent grip in all weather.  I am truly impressed with these tires and would recommend them to anyone.  No, it's not a high performance tire, but if your looking for a comfortable, long lasting tire that performs well in all weather, than this is the tire for you.

I've had these tires on my 3 cars so far and absolutely love them. They are really good in any weather, deep snow included. Quiet ride, very good grip, great control and wear for a very long time and are not expensive. Last pair later around 50k before I had to get new ones. I have stopped looking for better tires and get Altimax RT43 whenever I need new tires.

They are better than a four, but they are brand new. I had a set of General Grabber's on my 94 Ford Ranger for about 4 1/2 years and got about 60k on them when they were finally about worn out with 2-3/32 of tread on them. So I was going to buy another set because they were great.  However they didn't make them in my size so I bought these instead in the last week of June 2019, and man and I happy.  These are EXTREMELY quiet was the first thing I noticed.  They had an initial grip from being virgin rubber that I really like but I thought that would wear away very quickly.  So far I've put 1000 miles on them in dry and most recently a severe down pour with several inches of rain that I had a very long drive in.  THey performed like no body's business.  Not a single bit of hydroplaning or squirly steering at all.  Gripped the roads during sharp turns at high speeds all the time.  I can't rate tread life due to being new and I can't rate fuel effiency because they haven't changed it.

Tires have been on SUV for 8 months without my being aware of any problem.  Recommended by dealer I have relied on for over 20 years. Bought at good price and a recommendation that they would last. Probably the last tires I will buy for my  2011 Equinox.

First I bought a set of Altimax RT43s for my 1990 Mazda Miata in part because few tire builders make tires for that car. But I liked what they did for the ride and handling. So, a few months later, I put a set on my 2012 Acura TSX Sportwagon. After all, an online tire selector at a major retailer recommended the tires for the car, and a consumer review I ran across said you could pay more for a set of tires, but why would you want to? Again, the ride and handling are fine. So, this winter, when we could no longer get my wife's 2007 Honda Odyssey minivan up our driveway whenever it snowed, it was no contest. Another set of Altimax RT43s for good grip in snow. Plus, you guessed it, good ride and handling. Three different cars. One good value in tires. General Altimax RT 43s.

This is the second set I bought, for my 2001 Honda Civic LX this time, based on the performance of the previous set I purchased for my 2006 Honda Accord. In both cases, superior traction compared to the Michelins I had on them before. And a cheaper price.

I bought these tire Fall of 2018. These tires are great in Rain and snow. no slip no slide. Very happy with purchase. Actually going out this spring to replace my 10 year old general Altima on 95 grand prix -- those were great also.  Get general tires and don't think twice -- its a good tire at a good price.
