Bought 6 months ago - drove both in town and at 75 mph for extended periods on major highways. Now have 5000 miles on them. Replaced original Goodyear Eagles on 2009 Maxima. Felt secure and solid at all times. They are quiet and stable but too early to judge longevity. They still look brand new. Have not used in snow conditions but the tread design seems good. So far so good. Would definitely purchase again and recommend to others.

Purchased tires on 01/25/18. Have gone 57,600 miles to date, 10/24/2021. Just went in to get tires rotated. Would not rotate. Said rear was 2/32 and front was 3/32. Not happy with not getting closer to the 75,000 that was advertised. Happy with how they handle in rain and snow. Thought I had a winner.  17,400 is about another year of diving I will not get from these tires. 60 yr old disabled driver, so not a hot rod.

The Altimax RT43 is an excellent all season tire.  I used to buy Michelin and am becoming loyal to General Tire now.  Tires have a very nice soft ride and handling is outstanding.  When you compare to Michelin on a perfomance and price basis General Altimax win easily!

Put a set on my dodge grand caravan and I'm very pleased so far. Nice and quiet and handle well in the rain and dry pavement. Have a little over 5000 miles on them. Only gave a 4 on performance because they are on a minivan not a sports car so how hard are you going to drive them. Feel they are an excellent tire for what i want/need.

I have put 12,000 miles on these tires so far. They replaced Firestone ft140s on my 2016 civic. So far I am very pleased. They seem just as quiet comfortable, but have far superior traction in rain and wet roads.My gas mileage has remained pretty much the same.The Firestone's  seemed a touch more responsive in quick avoidance maneuvers though.

My wife drives a Jeep Patriot that were never known for a quite. There was always constant competition between the CVT transmission, the engine and the road noise fro the tires. The new tires minimized the road noise so now I can concentrate on the sound of the CVT which sound like a riding mower for 90,000 miles.. Great tire value

Have only had for about 5000 miles, but they seem to be considerably quieter and a smoother ride than with my previous tires.  May have even gotten a little better gas mileage with them.  Overall, I am very satisfied with them.  Will see how well they hold up.

Long time user of a very good tire however ""brand"" is now driving price and quality, I think, has declined at least over the last 3-4 yrs on sets I've purchased my autos. The General tire brand was recommended by two friends. Very - very pleased with the ride comfort and quiet ride, two areas I have premium requirements

I commute 64 miles a day for work and live in northwest PA, experiencing treacherous winters.  The General Altimax Rt43 have been the best tires I've ever owned.(I'm on set #2)  I use them year round on a 2008 Ford Fusion!  I am most impressed with their winter capabilities.  I drive in heavy snow and ice conditions at times and never have to wonder if I'm going to make it.  If you adjust your driving to the conditions, these tires will not disappoint.  The other great feature is the water displacement.   The roads I travel have ruts which collect water when it rains.  They have very good resitence to hydroplaning.  While I didn't get anywhere near the mileage of the warranty, they lasted me 2 years and wore evenly.   This is quite a feat if you've ever driven on Pennsylvania roads  I would highly recommend these tires if you appreciate getting from point a to b safely!

Although I don't drive as much anymore since getting these tires (pandemic-I'm sure that will change soon), I feel safe and my air pressure indicator light hasn't come on in months, which has been problematic in the past. I am pleased with these tires, though the ride is a little rougher than expected, but I think it's from lack of use, not quality.
