Ok so it just arrived but it is so hard I can't imagine sleeping on it tonight. I ordered the reserve pillow top soft and actually called S&F because I thought maybe the wrong bed was delivered. Unfortunately it is the right bed and it is hard as a rock. I don't understand at all how this could be so hard and be described as pillow top soft. Customer service told me it will soften up. I'm so sorry I ordered this and right now have no doubt I'll be returning for a refund as soon as humanly possible.

On 09/10/22 I purchased a Sterns & Foster "handcrafted" Lux Estate Hybrid Pollock King size mattress. I purchased the expensive mattress because it's promoted as premium brand with a "sleep worry-free for a decade" 10-year warranty. I also liked the 90-day sleep trial as I have a back injury and needed to make sure my back could tolerate the new mattress. Turns out I loved it. I loved it so much I convinced my parents to buy one of their own. Fast forward to 04/10/23. (Just a little over 6 months later.) The work that the "master craftsmen" did to stitch the mattress cover was coming apart. I filed a warranty claim and was emailed a response that tells me physical abuse and damage including cuts and tears to fabric aren't covered. First off, the mattress wasn't abused, and it wasn't a cut or a tear - the stitching was coming apart at the seam in multiple areas. When I called customer service at (800)697-3249 I was told there's nothing that could be done and was refused transfer to a manager because "the decision had already been made". This is not the answer I expect from a representative of a high-end product. Honestly that's the worst answer a customer service representative can tell someone who is having problems with any product. I purchased this mattress based on the reputation of Sterns & Foster. I told the rep that I was considering finding every single website I can that advertises this mattress to leave negative reviews because the Sterns & Foster website specifically sells this product with the marketing that it is "stitched to perfection". He told me if that's what I feel like I should do - then I should do it. I let him know that I would contact the corporate office first and give Sealy another chance to resolve this concern with my mattress. I'm really surprised that Sealy would treat customers in this manner. I took a chance buying an expensive mattress because I believed that premium products are better made and I also believed that I wouldn't have any issues, now that I do it's quite disappointing. Worse than disappointing, the marketing is deceiving when the website says that the 10-year limited warranty covers "all parts of the mattress". Fast forward and I feel like I am becoming The Princess and the Pea. After writing a letter & complaining directly to the corporate office my issue was sent to the warranty escalations team who authorized replacing the mattress. On May 18, 2023 a new king size Sterns & Foster mattress was delivered to my home and the other taken away. From the first night I could tell that the new mattress did not compare to the old one in any way. I wanted to give it a little time to see if my partner also felt the same way. I checked the website and realized that the Lux Hybrid doesn't even come in the Pollack or in cushion firm anymore - just soft, medium, and firm. I never received any sort of receipt or invoice from Sterns & Foster telling me what my replacement is, but the sleep quality is nowhere near what I was used to on the previous mattress. I absolutely LOVED the first mattress and If I had ANY idea that I would be sent a completely different replacement I would have sewed the stitching that was coming apart myself rather than send it back! After reviewing the website lately, I find the new Lux Hybrid mattresses don't have the row of microcoils that the first did when I ordered it last November and I believe this is the reason it feels so different to me - because it is made fundamentally different now. I am really surprised that the warranty escalations team would not warn me of the changes to the models before offering to replace the other. I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as the delivery personnel told me that the mattress they took away would be shredded. What a waste! Other than the stitching issue it was a perfectly good mattress and one that I would much rather have than the new one that Sealy sent. And it's not just that the replacement mattress is firmer; I can feel every time my partner moves, and its hotter - I have to kick the covers off at night when I am overheating. The other one simply had a stitching issue. Now Sealy has told me there's nothing else they will do as they claim the replacement mattress sent was identical to the first. What a cheap rip-off. I even purchased a new queen-sized Sterns & Foster mattress for my guest bedroom when Sealy stepped up and said they would replace the first. I wish I would've waited, I now believe Sealy has no intention of treating their customers right.

The worst mattress I've ever owned after 8 months of trying to get used to it we had to put in guest room we are using our old mattress again just after 4 hours of sleeping on it causes lower back pain for both of us my wife weighs 115 lb and I weigh 250 makes no difference it sinks in when we sleep on it . I went through all the hoops for warranty and lots of pictures broom stick test and receipt for customer support said our box spring was not compatible and there was no defect in their product. The sleep galleria we purchased at is out of business . No replacement or warranty I advise anyone not to buy before knowing about the full warranty.

This is my second, the first lasted close to ten years. This is wonderful as I age I can use hard seats and be comfortable. I appreciate it is rugged and portable. Born to a poor family from Siberia, Chernenko joined the Komsomol in 1929 and became a full member of the party in 1931

I had the cassatt ultra plush and exchanged it for the lux hybrid soft and regret every minute of it. I swear I have a defective bed. It is only soft in certain spots and for the most part hard all over and I can feel the coils or whatever this bed is made of. I've had it longer than 6 months so it's definitely had time to break in and still as uncomfortable as ever. And from previous reviews I know stearns and fost won't do a darn thing about it. Such an expensive bed for low quality. Do not recommend!

The high mattress made me giggle, but we love it. The material looks very well made, which we love. As for the actual sleep of the mattress, it's very comfortable. The first few nights of sleep, I woke up with zero pain, which was terrific. Now the top is slightly softer than I assumed when hearing firm. The sides dip down a bit more than I would like as well. And we think it may sleep a bit warmer than our old mattress. We love the mattress, though, and are thrilled to see how we keep liking it over the next few months. I plan to do a blog post within the next few months to express our thoughts! Along with social shares then.

The Stearns and Foster Reserve Soft Pillowtop is substantially heavier and thicker than the current mattress I was using. It looks and feels luxurious. The mattress feels soft but it doesn't sink in when I lay on it. I wake up with no back pain. I would replace all my mattresses if I have the means. I would definitely recommend this brand to friend and family.

While they seem comfortable initially, they quickly decline in quality. The Stearns and Foster Reserve is the first traditional mattress we have had in years. When presented with the opportunity to review one of Stearns and Fosters mattresses from Bzzagent, I still wanted to do my research. I landed on the Reserve collection soft pillowtop. The pillowtop provides an extra layer of cushioning that is very comfortable. I tend to get very warm while sleeping, so the cooling fibers were very important to me. While lots of products claim to be "cooling", this mattress has delivered on that claim. The pillowtop cover is made of Tencel, which is a high-end fabric known for its exceptional temperature regulation. It has a silky moisture wicking fabric feel to it. Our summer heat is brutal, so this was the perfect time to test the cooling capabilities. Another feature I love is the dual support. The mattress has a comfort layer with TEMPUR-Indulge memory foam, but also a support layer with Intellicoil HD. One issue we have had with the foam mattresses in a box is they tend to lose their shape and sag over time. They don't provide support long term. My husband is a side sleeper, and I am a stomach sleeper, we both find this mattress very comfortable and supportive. It provides a good night's sleep to every type of sleeper. If there is any question on quality and standing the test of time, just try lifting and moving the mattress. It is extremely heavy! That may be the only negative about it. When trying to change the sheets it is slightly more difficult to lift and get the sheets on. I will take that minor inconvenience any day to have the quality rest we have been getting on this mattress. Goodbye bed in a box!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mattress, it's like sleeping on a cloud! I have sciatica, and this mattress has been wonderful! I've never slept better! I will say that originally we had it on the box springs that were part of our old traditional mattress set and my husband felt like we didn't have enough support (He prefers a more firm mattress) and felt like his weight on the mattress made me rolling into him during the night. However, we switched to a platform style bed without a box spring and the support was better for him! I highly recommend this if you prefer a cozy, comfy sleep and have a strong base.
