[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is simple to use. Just loosen the soil or purple a few inches of new soil over the spot to be repaired. Water twice a day or as needed. See color if light it need moisture. Dark is is good. Read the easy directions on the container. I like the results and the seeds will adjust for sun or shade from seed mixture. III use this annually every spring and during summer for repairs. I use 100 per-cent Scott's seed. It meets my expectations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this on a patched area where a new sewer line was installed as it was later in spring and the area was run over after seeding by sewer contractor i only have mixed results more likely the problem then the Scott's seed. It grew well in a shady area that I have had very little success--even with other Scotts products in the past. I am not a big fan of attempting to grow grass in the late Spring but there was a bare spot under a tree that I did not want to have increase in size due to run-off. I planted the seed and it sprouted well in 6 days. I have now mowed twice and it seems to be holding up well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is so easy to use it truly can grow grass anywhere. I had a bare spot in my back yard that only gets a little sun and EZ Seed was able to get green grass growing in as little as a week.

I picked up a few jugs of EZ seed on sale. I placed it down after a Scotts lawn service aeration and overseeding. I used it in the barer spots and on a few sloped areas where it is difficult to grow. True to the name is the ease of spreading the seed and that it will grow in a few weeks. My issues are the price (it is good value if can find a sale) and weeds. I'm not saying my lawn was weed free before hand. I don't know if the weeds are from the overseeding by Scotts or the EZ seed but since the application there are new varieties of weeds previously not present on my lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally the weather has turned for the best as in getting started for spring lawn maintenance.A quick check for all the bear spots and a few small sections of my lawn that just took its toll from the winter weather,it is time for reseeding.What can you buy out there on the open market,so many brands of seed,I look to Scotts EZ Seed and Patch repair,for all the years past I have used nothing but Scotts products,and maybe a small price jump in some stores,but do the homework and look for the sales,I do,and I do save a few bucks,as for this product,I have applied the EZ Seed Repair on all the spots that needed reseeding,about 3 weeks ago, some shaded areas and some with bright sun,I am finally starting to see some results,as the new grass is stating to come up.This will be a slow process,nothing new about it,all you need is time for it to grow,and I know from experience,as in the past,the seed will take and my lawn will have the full effect of new grass to blend in with the rest of my lawn.This product is of good quality,not much work to using it,the instructions are very simple,some fresh dirt water and new seed,that's it,easy to use,and the best part is,your job was done with Scotts products,you want the best for your lawn,I know that I do,I get to many compliments from neighbors that walk by,oh your lawn looks great,so my advise is ,a sharp blade on your mower,proper cutting during the summer,and the use of Scotts lawn products for your lawn,I get the best out of my lawn,mission accomplished,thanks to Scotts for the top quality of products they have,case closed.......

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried it once following the instructions carefully. No results. Bought more to try it again and made double sure I followed the instructions. Guess what. Didn't work again. I have always liked Scott's products in the past but this one I definitely do not.

This was the 2nd year in a row I tried this product. I found it on sale at 1/2 off so I bought it again. It grew in one spot which was in a shaded area and did not grow in a sunny area. I will go back to using add'l seed along with the patchmaster (green) product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A Beta site was selected, and the ground was prepared. the sample 'EZ-SEED was applied. Unfortunately, the late spring rains came and washed the sample away. so I waited for more favorable conditions. Again the site was prepared, and the sample was reapplied. this time, Nature cooperated and the beta site reacted as was expected. I found it necessary to reapply the sample in order to increase the site's density. So i gently prepared and reapplied more sample to the site and again the product took root and filled in the site to an even more dense new grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this seed! The key that most people forget is that you HAVE to keep the seed moist. As long as you water on a regular schedule you should be fine. After a few weeks when you see the grass blades coming up quite a bit you can cut back on your schedule a little bit at a time.
