I was really excited to try this so I bought a nice size bag of the ezSeed to use on various parts of my lawn that needed to be re-seeded. So I followed the instructions explicitly, did everything that was on the instructions. Then I waited - and waited - watered it and waited some more and nothing. SO - I thought I would try it again, never seen one blade of grass. Tried it in other parts of my lawn that was bare and needed some grass - same thing, no grass. If I hadn't been so sure that this would have worked, I would have saved the receipt and returned the bag of "no-good". But I didn't so this was a waste of effort, money and time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is simple to use. Just loosen the soil or purple a few inches of new soil over the spot to be repaired. Water twice a day or as needed. See color if light it need moisture. Dark is is good. Read the easy directions on the container. I like the results and the seeds will adjust for sun or shade from seed mixture. III use this annually every spring and during summer for repairs. I use 100 per-cent Scott's seed. It meets my expectations.

I should have read these reviews first as seen many have had problems. Trusted Scott's brand. Have been planting and growing grass for years. Was replanting under a tree after clearing out many heavy branches. Wanted the best chance at getting grass to grow. Followed instructions and nothing. Not. Thin lawn, actually no germination after two weeks. Can't believe I bought into the EZ marketing and paid a premium. Should have bought cheap seed and saved the money. Raking iit off and starting over with less money in my pocket.

Purchase and placed product over 3 weeks ago, not a single seed germinated. Bought this product to repair some bare spots and dog spots in the lawn. Container states, ‘DOG SPOT REPAIR’ and ‘GROWS ANYWHERE GUARANTEED’. Apparently not in Las Vegas and not in my backyard. I should have just stuck to my previous method of seed, fertilizer, and soil instead of trying to do something the ‘easy’ way. Now I’ll have to go back and do the job again. I guess the old saying about ‘if it sounds too good to be true’ may apply here. Disappointed to say the least. I thought Scotts was a good brand that would work.

After using this product to fix bare spots in our lawn we continue to use it to this day. So easy to use, not messy and the grass grows fast! We highly recommend this product for lawn repair to all our family and friends.

I had sod put down last year and then this spring I had a bunch or areas that were dug up by squirrels/raccoons. Very frustrating after spending all that money and we are preparing for a wedding party. Scott's E Z Seed came to the rescue. Was able to loosen exsisting soil, add a little top soil and Scott's E Z Seed and the lawn now looks great. Keep it watered and it works wonders.

I bought this product thinking it would be simple and easy to use. Instead, (I have arthritis), it took me 15 minutes to find a way to pry open the "easy open" lid. Imagine my surprise, when I now see a black plastic piece inside and a small white "cover" under that. NO instruction on what to do next. Should I try to break the black plastic piece so I can get to the white seal underneath? It appears to be welded in place, so I started poking at the white seal. Again, NO instruction, no arrow, no poke here. I finally got a small wedge of an opening, and after using a knife, scissors, and finally a screwdriver to poke it into the container was able to actually see the product. It took forever to spread since the white plastic kept resurfacing and getting in the way of the opening for the product. Never again. PS - nothing on your website about how to open either.
