The idea of this giant cupcake is definitely fun. I recently purchased one to celebrate my birthday. There were two varieties, and I chose the chocolate one with peanut butter flavored filling. The cake was a tad bit dry, but just slightly. The rich frosting and the filling compensated for that. Overall the taste of this cake was quite delicious/decadent. My issue with this item was the cupcake "wrapper" around it. I noticed it upon purchase and just thought it had a paper ring to help hold it together, but in actuality, it was fully wrapped - sides AND bottom, just like a cupcake. The sides were adhered to the cake, making serving it very difficult. It was challenging to carefully tear the side wrapping all the way to the bottom without compromising the cake. The end result was globs of cake on everyone's plate that didn't in the least resemble a slice of cake. I mean it still tasted good, but if your event is based on presentation, skip this one. Also the price point is too high, especially for Sam's Club. A cake, with filling, this size would have been less expensive AND not had the crazy wrapper to contend with. Although I LOVED the flavor combination, this was definitely a one time purchase.

The cake tasted ok there is way to much filling thats about all you get with a little piece of cake thhe wrapper around the cake is like a card board and is very hard to remove from the cake someone didn't think it thru the cake sits on the card board it like 1 piece so even if you cut it you can't remove it cause it it attached to ty he bottom

Like a cupcake the outside is wrapped with a heavy paper that didn’t peel off very easy. If you just want a fourth or so of the cake I used a scissors to cut the paper for the slice I wanted. The filling was good. Not to strong of peanut butter. However I thought the cake itself was a little dry.

Description states this would feed 16-20 people. No way! It was difficult to cut and serve and fell apart. The cupcake paper was tough and difficult to remove so the cake could be served. I thought so could just cut through it but no. It did have a delicious taste.

We love the Sam's chocolate cake with the chocolate slivers on the outside! However, now they seemed to have replaced it with this one, so we gave it a try. First of all, we didn't know how to cut it with the paper around it. Then the taste and texture was just not up to par for what we expect from Sam's Club. We threw most of it away. PLEASE bring back your other chocolate cake!

I had high hopes for this, but the peanut butter frosting tastes artificial(powdered peanut butter) the external is the cupcake is dry if there is anything there*my outside is being held up by the wrapper which is inedible and I keep getting paper in my mouth when I try to eat it) the frosting is rich(the chocolate not the peanut butter let down) which is it's only redeeming quality

Extremely sweet, I could not enjoy it at all so sad cause I wasted the chance to get a better one

Delicious, but very difficult to serve. The wrapper is hard to remove, then the cake crumbles.
