Even with price it's not good enough

Bolts that hold the upperbody support stripped very easily trying to attach it to the bottom. I had to drill out new holes and my own bolts. I should have just returned it, because when I went to use it I realize the support for the lower body just doesn't cut it. Not having anything to dig your feet into, or something to clamp on your shins/ankles just makes it not good enough to get the exercise that you're supposed to get. This is supposed to be a concentric exercise in your lower back, and an eccentric exercise for your hams, with the glutes somewhere in the middle of that. Instead you have to really focus on curling your legs back against the calf pads, putting the tension into your hams. This could be remedied by having a second pad for your shin, that would allow you to "let go" of your legs and do the hyper extension.. trying to figure out how I can mod this to work.

Almost great

2 of the screw holes were just slightly off. I had to grind the holes just a bit to get the scews through. Easy for me because I am a metalsmith and have the tools needed. Otherwise it seems to be very well constructed and sturdy. I am pleased with my purchase.

Don't bother

Putting the product together, found the adjuster knob broken. No problem, I thought, I will call cust support to have them send me another and kept putting together. Company already had the 'sleeves' on the post that holds the knee pads and guess what? The knee pad holder wouldn't slide into the post because one of the sleeves had an imperfection in it's manufacturing and was not perfectly square for the metal post to slide into. UGH! I called customer support to see about getting and uppity girl told me both parts were backordered and I would not receive for 3 to 4 weeks. Hmmmm. I am taking it all back apart and returning to Walmart today. :( Sad, as I waiting over two weeks to get this and was looking forward to some hard abs for the summer. Guess I will only be using the one at the gym. Additionally, the actual bench is quite high up and is not adjustable, so it appears I would have had to do some climbing and adjusting to position myself on it to use. I am 5'3". I don't know if I would have been able to do the side laying obliques either, as this is so high up. It did appear that this would be sturdy if all the parts had arrived in working order.

Roman Chair/Hyperextension Bench

This product is very solid and and the best deal I've found for a hyperextension bench. I was a little concerned with the quality before purchasing since I weigh 235 lbs. but this bench has no problem supporting me. There were a few missing pieces but (washers and bolts) I contacted the distributor and they sent them out within a week.

Sturdy piece, awesome price

Amazing value, cheapest price out there. I was worried that for such a cheap price this product would be weak or flimsy, but it is awesome. We are so happy with our purchase. Works well for my husband, and works well for me too - the only downside is that it's a little difficult for me to get up on, I have to jump ( I'm 5'1) but that's nothing a stool can't fix. It only took us about 15-20 mins to put together.

Great for my back

Used one of these in a gym years ago and found that the workout strengthened my lower back muscles. Fast forward several years and add occasional back pain. This helps fix that pain and conveniently at home. Solidly built. The assembly instructions are poor, basically an exploded diagram that you have to decipher. Not too difficult though. Happy with the purchase.

MUST BUY!

From some of the reviews on here with 4 stars or lower, I do not know what's wrong with their product. The product that I received was perfectly fine. I'm 5'5" and it is more than perfect for my height. I weight around 168 lbs and it is solid. Highly recommend!

Great value, Great Price

I bought this because I wanted to be able to do the back extension at home. This is the cheapest one I could find anywhere and it is a great overall value. The padding is a little lacking but really that is the only problem I have with this. I can do exactly what I want with this unit and really cant complain about anything. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do sit ups and back extensions for a great price! Do site to store and you don't even have to pay for shipping! Great overall value!

Great Deal

I was looking for a Roman Chair ab bench, but all the prices were sky high. I saw this one, for less than $68 with free shipping. I jumped right on it. Put it together in a flash. All parts are numbered, The instructions were very easy to understand and all parts were numbered. The knob had a crack in it, but was still functional. The next day I call customer service, and they told me they would ship me out another knob today. Great service. By the way, the bench has been sold out at most places. Why? Because it compares to Roman Chairs selling for 2 to 3 times the price. I am a happy camper!
