Great Value.

I am very happy with my Roman Chair. It is well designed and was easy to put together. It is sturdy and will last a lifetime. It is available for the same price at other online stores but overall you can't beat Walmart's free shipping for in-store pickup. I use it for sit-ups and low back hyperextensions and it is a great workout.

Roman Chair/Hyperextension Bench

This product is very solid and and the best deal I've found for a hyperextension bench. I was a little concerned with the quality before purchasing since I weigh 235 lbs. but this bench has no problem supporting me. There were a few missing pieces but (washers and bolts) I contacted the distributor and they sent them out within a week.

Not for short people!

This product was really easy to put together but was wobbly once assembled. It was fairly stable once you got up on it, but I'm 5'4", and I literally had to get a step stool to stand on just to get my waist onto the padded part to do extensions, as the seat does not adjust in height.

Sturdy, great price

Does what it's supposed to do and seems very sturdy (I'm 170 lbs). Minor cons: seat is pretty hard; no slot in seat so situps are fine, but for back extentions a guy may have to do some "product placement" to be comfortable; rollers have a synthetic stink. I was worried the seat angle would be a problem, but it's not.

Good Product!

Over all it's a good product for the price. Easy to assemble and sturdy. I think a few improvements could be made in the design in order to make the bench more versatile, so that you could do side bends more comfortably, but it's definitely good for hyperextensions which it was designed for.

Works Great!

This Hyperextension bench is larger than it appears in the picture. It is nice and sturdy. Husband and I both use it - he is 220, I am 120. It works great for both of us. Padding on bench area is good and the bench is nice and wide for plenty of room and support. Handles are nice - some complain they're too short but it doesn't really matter because you are secured by your ankles while you're getting off and on. It's not a problem. Be careful to do these nice and slow and concentrated so as not to hurt your lower back.

Great product for the money

Delivery was much quicker than indicated when ordering, assembly was relatively easy, and the item is much sturdier than expected. My only complaint is the lack of any usage instructions. While I have experimented with the various settings to find a comfortable way to exercise, I feel like I may not be getting the most out of this piece of equipment. Otherwise, I feel like this item is a great deal for the price.

Great addition for Home GYM.

Was checking my emails and I was asked to review my recent purchase. So hopefully this helps. I wish I would knew about this Bench before. The reason being is because this bench works my abs way better than my sit up bench and core ball. My abs (upper, middle and lower) are fully engaged. And yes my obliques as well. This was the main reason why I bought this bench. Who really loves "love handles". Anyway I'm 5'9" and weigh 180 lbs. The padding is adequate, and the bench is very sturdy. I just looked at the diagrams and put the thing together. It took I say about 20 or so minutes to put it together. Also I checked into getting another brand since I thought that this might be too good to be true but thought to myself I'd just return it if it was not up to par. I also own the ab rockect and an assited ab crunch unit. If you buy this bench and use it on a regular basis as well as watch your food intake you'll get results. Hope this helps. Remember walmart does have a return policy if your still curious about it. But if your like me you still have it and won't regret it.

Awkward to use.

I'm 5'9" and find to awkward to use. My calves hit the foam pads which kind of hurts. It's also very hard to get on. It can be adjusted a few inches, but doesn't make much of a difference. I wish I would have purchased the one with the angled metal plate that sits on the floor.

Not bad for Price

I bought this item after starting crossfit. I wanted a roman chair but did not want to spend a lot of money in case I decided crossfit was not for me. After searching the internet I found this to be the best value with the best ratings. It is a solid piece of equipment but must be weighed down if you decide to do glute/hams with weight. Its great and well padded for back extensions but the dip bars seem to be too far apart and the padding gets in the way. To do glute/ham situps it is extremely hard for my 5 feet , but I am hoping as the padding goes down and after a while of use that wont be much of a problem. Overall not a bad product for the price if you are buying it for the back extension/glute/ham workout.
