Great for the price

This item is great for the price. The finish and appearance is better than in the pictures. Some people may say the foam is not padded too well but I think it is adequate for a 6'1" 210lb guy. The foam rollers are also very good and soft, easy on my legs. I wish I could adjust the leg rollers higher but it is fine at the top, if it went higher it might be difficult to get off. As it is, it seems easy to get on and off, but I am in good shape. This roman chair works my back out good, and it feels better after I have been using it. The price can't be beat.

Perfect for me...

This hyperextension bench was perfect for me at 5'3" but I could see how it might be difficult or uncomfortable for someone much taller or shorter because you can't adjust the length, only the height of the foot things (yup, that's the technical term). But is is very sturdy.

It's OK for the price

It's a little cheaply made. Given the price I didn't expect too much. The lower base is only 3 sided so not as strong. If you tighten the bolts too hard it will crush the side in. The pad is generous and soft but for men it could be a little uncomfortable. The leg pads are large with thick foam with good adjustability. However the front strut is a little short so taller people might butt their head if they go down too low. I think this was designed more for women.

Great buy, with a few caveats

This arrived with all pieces and was easy to put together, with sturdy construction. For the money I'd definitely buy again, but there was a slight problem with the product. For back extensions it's an awesome machine, however being 6'4" I'm not able to comfortably fit to use the machine for negative crunches. Since it is a solid product, it is not adjustable for different heights and comfort levels. If you're good with that, I'd recommend.

Perfect for home gym

Have used my Roman Chair for a few weeks now and am very satisfied. It's stable and comfortable while still lightweight enough to move around in my small weight room. My only criticism would be the pad. I have a high end adjustable bench and the difference in the pads are noticeable. For $65 though I would say it's good enough. We'll see how it holds up. This is an incredible value, since others are over $100.

Even with price it's not good enough

Bolts that hold the upperbody support stripped very easily trying to attach it to the bottom. I had to drill out new holes and my own bolts. I should have just returned it, because when I went to use it I realize the support for the lower body just doesn't cut it. Not having anything to dig your feet into, or something to clamp on your shins/ankles just makes it not good enough to get the exercise that you're supposed to get. This is supposed to be a concentric exercise in your lower back, and an eccentric exercise for your hams, with the glutes somewhere in the middle of that. Instead you have to really focus on curling your legs back against the calf pads, putting the tension into your hams. This could be remedied by having a second pad for your shin, that would allow you to "let go" of your legs and do the hyper extension.. trying to figure out how I can mod this to work.

I was impressed with the overall quality for the price. The components are strong, heavy duty, and assemble with precision. (everything lines up properly) The instructions are clear and complete, and even the assembly hardware (nuts and bolts) are organized and labeled. Highly recommend
