This stick works well, but it is so top heavy that it is hard for a older person to handle. And with several long haired grandchildren around, the brush gets jammed up with hair OFTEN. It takes scissors and a lot of patience to untangle the brushes.

Absolutely horrible. It did “ok” on my hardwood. Though it doesn't get as close to the edge as my older version of this vacuum. On the carpet is a whole other story. I couldn't push this vacuum on my low pile carpet. I don't know if the suction was too strong or if it was some other issue, but if it won't roll, what good is it? I returned it. I've used Shark Vacs for over 20 years. This is the first time I've been disappointed. I still need to buy a vacuum, but it won't be a Shark.

I'm a fan of shark vacuums. This is my 3rd purchase and the suction is still great. What i am noticing this time it's the roller getting tangled with hair. I've only used it 3 times and I've had to cut hair off the roller which i haven't had that issue with my others.

Metal band on handle shocks you when it is plugged in. I can’t believe there are no other reviews stating this. We bought it today, plugged it in to vacuum the carpet and it immediately started shocking me. Faulty and poor quality control to have a product that electric shocks its customers and there is no way to get around touching the metal band on the handle. We will be returning this product and will not buy another shark vacuum.

Whoever designed this doesn't actually vacuum in their home. While the unit itself is light, all of the weight is at the very top of the handle making it incredibly uncomfortable to use for longer than a few minutes. The head has almost no weight at all so it constantly wants to lift off of the floor while vacuuming. The suction is decent but the high pitched whine the vacuum produces is near headache inducing. You have to lean the vacuum on something or store it upside down on a hook which isn't super convenient. I use it in an office building with little dirt and dust, I couldn't imagine using this in a home with children and pets. Overall would not purchase it myself and loathe using it at work.

I gave it three stars for sucking power. However I took two stars away for having to stop after vacuuming each room to untangle the vacuum spinner. If you have long hair pets don’t get this it tangled up like it’s its job. Otherwise it does have great pickup. Mixed emotions on. This buy. If you don’t have pets it may be a great buy.

I like that this vacuum is lightweight, great for small spaces, and is a good price. The suction is good, it's easy to empty, and you can get further under furniture %26 beds with it. That being said, you have to empty it a lot. I live in an 1120 sq ft apartment, and no longer have pets, but I have to dump the canister 2 to 3 times every time I clean. The hair wrapping (as another customer mentioned) around the brush is the worst I've ever seen. I dread having to vacuum because I have to pull it apart and cut the hair out pretty much every time I vacuum. I could probably get two cleanings out of it, but then it's harder to get the hair out. Also, using it as a handheld to clean furniture, stairs, etc is cumbersome. It's heavy and I end up using my old handheld. I bought this 6 months ago, when I moved from a house to an apartment, for the convenience the size would offer; but today I'm looking to buy another full sized vacuum because I need a vacuum I can just pull out of the closet and use without having to do maintenance on it before I can use it. This one is great for small, quick jobs, but for a full house cleaning, I do not recommend this product, it creates more work.

Did not care for this particular vacuum, I had a different Shark vacuum I really like HV392.. This one is too loud, and not as powerful as I thought it would be.The vacuum does not have the suction i would think it would have Not Happy with the performance.

This is a decent vacuum and has very good power %26 suction. It has both a pre- and a post- motor air filter to trap fine dirt/dust particles, preventing them from clogging the vacuum or being re-released into the air. It's a bonus that the filters are washable. The the powered floor attachment has two modes: "Mode I" slows down the roller brush for bare floors to prevent scattering debris everywhere. "Mode II" increases the roller brush speed and really helps deep clean carpets %26 rugs. It's pretty easy to clean the roller brush using scissors to remove any hair or string that gets wound around it. I also appreciate the bright LED headlights built into the floor tool, as well as the hand vacuum itself. Emptying the dust cup is fast %26 easy. The cup detaches easily and allows you to dump the contents without getting your hands dirty. I chose this corded stick model because of it's maneuverability to reach under furniture (vs. an upright style). I also didn't want to hassle with recharging batteries or to figure out how to dispose of them responsibly when they no longer hold a charge. As for storage, some reviews mention that it falls over if it's not leaned against a wall. In the instruction manual it shows how easy it is disconnect the hand vacuum from the wand and use the hanger on the back of the unit to hang it on the built-in hook at the base of the wand (I've attached the image from the manufacturer's website). Voila! This redistributes the weight and allows the vacuum to stand upright by itself. No wall needed. It comes with three attachments: a hose with a small detail brush, a crevice tool, and an upholstery tool. However, there's no onboard storage for these attachments (sold separately), so I just used one of the plastic bags from the box it was packed in to hang it from the wand when the vacuum's not in use. Overall, this is a very nice quality vacuum for the price. Minus one star for the lack of onboard tool storage, but I would definitely purchase again.

This is my third Shark Rocked. I love that it has great suction and is easy to handle. I'm not crazy about the filters and that you have to clean them each time you use it. I also don't like that it is so top heavy. Like I said, this is my 3rd one so there is a lot more like than dislike.
