I went to unplug my headphones from charging and burned my finger. The headphones melted around the charging port and was smoking. I have taken very good care of my headphones and there was no reason for this to happen. Very disappointed and I’m out of headphones. I don’t know what to do.

These are great headphones and they’re very sturdy and comfortable. The only downside is that (1) the charging cable that came with it is too short, and (2) I can’t get it to turn on while it’s charging! I bought a longer charging cable, thinking that I could use the headphones while they were charging, but it turned out that I can’t! Bummer! Other than that, I’m very pleased with my purchase.

if ur thinking about picking up or getting xm5 or airpods maxes, don’t. These are on par with both these headphones if not better. good sound quality, good noise cancellation, Lightweight and carrying case is not big as xm5 or nonexistent as maxes. had these for 3 months and honestly better then 90% of headphones on the market.

So, i am a person who uses mostly uses gaming headphones that have dongles or Bluetooth earbuds most in time. but this time, i wanted to use Bluetooth headphones that don't use donglese. In my head, there were quite few stereotypes about no dongle Bluetooth headphones. for example, bad connection with laptop, bad sound quality for microphone, etc. buy after i tried this sony wh-1000xm4, I changed my mind. The headphones is actually quite light and does not hold my head tight, and the sound quality obviously good. Also, microphone quality is good.

I received this as a gift for Christmas. I wasn't sold on it initially, but that quickly changed after I had it setup and began using it. Granted, I haven't owned a pair of noise cancelling headphone or earbuds before, but I was pretty impressed with what I experienced. I have had a couple of issues with the connectivity to my tablet however. Sometimes, the headphones are out of sync with the Youtube video I'm watching (i.e., the lip movement doesn't match the sound from the headphones). This has happened multiple times. On one occasion, the headphone froze and wouldn't connect to the my phone or tablet. Thankfully, this was an isolated incident, and I've not experienced it since. Overall, I would recommend these headphones (though they are a little pricey).

My friend has them and told me not to get them, but I wanted them really bad so I didn’t listen (spoilers, I should’ve). Sound wise, they are average. Sound cancelation wise, they are more than excellent. So if you only listen to music, podcast, videos, etc, then they aren’t terrible (if we ignore the price tag). But if you will be using them for zoom calls, ft, or any activity that would require using the microphone, I wouldn’t recommend. I will say, they are elegant. I returned them and in the process I found out that Sonys customer service exceptional.

These headphones are comfortable to wear. The audio quality is great. Great battery life and they charge very quickly. However, as the title says, I really had higher expectations for the noise cancellation. It was my main reason to buy these headphones.

I love the sound quality and bass of these headphones and the case it small so it’s easy to store, however one big problem I’ve had with it was it felt like your ears were popping like on a airplane flight, the only solution I found was either turning off noise cancellation or editing ambient settings

First off let me say I love my Sony WH-1000XM4! I love the sound, the Noise Cancelling they provide and how loud they get but smooth the sound is without hurting my ears. But their biggest downfall is the control function on their earmuffs. The touch/tapping functions are just not accurate or great. I tend to listen when I'm in bed and about to fall asleep but then they annoyingly skip or do something I didn't want them to do. Honestly, this is my biggest gripe and annoyance with these headphones, I still recommend them cause their sound is amazing but they REALLY need to develop a better way to handle the controls. I suggest actual buttons. I have a pair of Jabra Elite Active 75t & I LOVE their controls. Their sound doesn't co.e close to these Sony headphones but they've mastered the controls.

I was due for some new headphones. It took hours and hours to read and watch reviews for headphones made by all the major brands (Sony, Beats, Bose). It can be overwhelming to balance all the pros and cons and make a decision. I settled on the Sony WH1000XM4, and I'm very happy. Here's a few things I really like: 1) Really comfortable - nice soft ear covers and padding at the top 2) Great sound - all my music sounds crystal clear with no complaints about the bass or treble. There are some default settings but you can adjust the audio to your specific preferences by downloading and synching the headphones to your phone via the Sony Headphones app (I recommend doing this) 3) These headphones automatically turn off if you take them off.... I think it's a few minutes. You won't accidentally drain the battery if you take them off and forget. 4) You can simultaneously pair to multiple devices (something you do through the Sony headphones app). This doesn't mean you listen to multiple devices at once, but instead you won't have to re-pair to a new device every time you switch over. For example, I turn my headphones on and at verifies it is ready to use with my iPhone (1st device) and then a second later it verifies it is ready to use with my PC (2nd device). At that time I can use either one and the headphones will play. 5) If you start talking while music is playing, it will mute the headphones 6) You can put your hand over the right headphone at any time to quickly mute the music and listen to what is going on around you. Perhaps if your wife is yelling at you. 7) The noise canceling is superb. I can't hear my wife yell at me at all. And therefore she does not like these headphones. The noise canceling is so good I would be careful wearing these if you are anticipating a phone call, a knock at the door, or want/need to hear your kids yelling. You will likely hear none of it. 8) The distance you can walk from your Bluetooth source is quite impressive. I can go anywhere in my house with my headphones and still hear the audio clearly with no cutting out. That success of course will depend on your living situation. I'm in an 1,800 square foot two-story house. Very happy with this purchase!
