I’ve been looking for a Santa Maria style grill for a while and there are a ton of options on the market that range from cheap (both in materials used and price) and super expensive. There is a lot of value in this grill for the type of materials used and different components it offers. The fire bricks are not a feature you see on a lot of grills. The quality of materials is evident with the results of the cooks. Very impressed and looking forward to trying a bunch of different types of cooks.

I'm still in shock that I get to own a Santa Maria type grill. I've wanted one for years, but the pricing was just out of control. I was worried that I was going to "get what I paid for" here and have a bbq that might not last that long, but I was pleasantly surprised that this thing is a beast! Incredibly heavy and well built! Took some time to build but was very straight forward and quite easy. Cooking over live fire is a craft that I'm still working on but there is no going back for me! Thank you for making these accessable and making a great BBQ!

This grill is not some box store junk. The quality and simplicity of assembly is great! It’s so versatile and is a handsome addition to our yard. Now I’ve got to build the Mrs. a patio. I took a bit of a risk buying this grill on preorder and man am I glad I did! I have been searching for an Argentine/S.M. style grill for awhile and this offering came along and the specs seemed perfect. I am so impressed with the quality and crafstmanship of this grill. Everything is well made and works beautifully. Spent fathers day with a cooler of beer having a remarkable grilling experience. Get a nice bed of embers and a few different cuts and enjoy!

I bought this a few months ago and used it about 6 times. Besides being very sturdy and with good materials, I have a couple of issues with it. First, the metal bar that goes across the bottom of the grill over the bricks. This is very uncomfortable, being from Argentina I have never seen that before and it’s not great when trying to move hot coals, specially the back part. Another big issue is that when using the fire box, metal seems to expand and the grill gets stuck when moving up and down, even when using the metal bar, which looses a lot of the purpose of a a santa Maria/Argentina grill.

This Argentinian Grill is solid! Well-built with top quality material. For this price range—the quality is amazing. This grill is heavy, solid, and perfectly fitted together—every hole, every connection was perfectly aligned for assembly. The instructions for assembly, especially using the BILT app, were complete and detailed. Assembly time suggested 2hrs to complete—maybe with two people, by myself it took closer to four hours. I have a 4-burnner Weber gas grill, a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker, and an outdoor pizza oven—so this Argentinian Grill completed our outdoor cooking/grilling needs. This is built to last and comes with a cover. I assembled in my garage and moved to my patio area (waited to install fire bricks; brasero; and top assembly due to the weight—since had to roll over grass). Side table is legit—heavy, thick. The coal shovel is extremely useful to shovel coals under brasero to main grill area. Seems they added a removable bottom rail that sits on top of the fire bricks—but this is fine since grilling Argentinian style demands that the coals be spread out and not directly under the meat (though fine if you want to put coals on top of the rail). If you have doubts due to the low price—since it is a few thousand less than most Argentinian Grills on the market-- I would say don’t hesitate to buy this, it is a great value! Be sure to look up some videos on Argentinian grilling as the slow cook style is different from the way you are probably used to grilling. Low heat and slow grilling locks in the flavor and juices. While it is heavy, 350 lbs., it roles easily over pavers or patio concrete. I would suggest also purchasing a Pizza Oven Brush and an Ash Rake (already had for my outdoor pizza oven) for moving coals and to help with clean up.

In terms of performance, the grill delivers outstanding results. Open fire cooking provides a subtle smoky flavor to the food. The design creates great airflow so the fire burns clean. You don’t get a heavy smoke flavor. The grill also retains heat exceptionally well, allowing for longer/consistent cooking temperatures.

It looks like a great product. Well-built and backed by this good company. However, I believe it is missing an essential element which is the “V-Shaped” signature Argentinian Grill. I understand it could increase the price, but maybe it could be offered as an option to guarantee fit?

There is a ton of value in the versatility of this grill. It can be used to grill burgers at high heat (and a ton of them with the size of the cooking surface), or cook low and slow with the grate raised up for results that are better than traditional smoking. The heat retention in the fire bricks is noticeable for long cooks. And the quality of the materials is on par with more expensive grills. Great value and a ton of fun to use!

Way more fun and flavor cooking over live fire than a gas grill. The grill is solidly built. The fire bricks hold and distribute heat well. It's great for low and slow with the grates raised up, of hot and fast closer to the coals. Best of both worlds.
