[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill exceeded all my expectations. It’s a true game-changer for anyone who loves outdoor/open fire cooking. The adjustable height of the grill grate allows for flexibility with heat control, giving flexibility for a ton of different types of cooks. We’ve used lump charcoal and natural wood and both have turned out great.

I assembled my grill about two weeks ago. The assembly took several hours, but was very easy with the BILT app. I am truly amazed at the quality of the grill for the price. This grill is a great value. I have used it twice, and it has worked flawlessly.

I just purchased this grill, and I will say the quality is absolutely amazing, especially for the price. All materials are top notch. Build instructions are straight forward and fairly easy. It will take 2 people to lift and move the this grill while assembling the cart. All holes lined up perfectly, no issues at all with screws or alignment. I will be doing my first cook on this beast in a few days.

My anticipation for the Argentine/Santa Maria Grill was inspired by Francis Mallmann. The order was placed with Great Joy & before my eyes the assembly was taking place. Great direction- by the way. We had the delight of cooking Christmas dinner with the whole family.The fire was started as the coals began their story of giving off heat. We had pineapple hanging, two guinea hens on those fantastic stainless steel hooks,mushrooms & lemon halves. The steaks were placed on the grill last as the grill was lowered just above the coals. There was room for sausage for appetizer as the grill space acomodates plenty of cooking surface. Everybody loved to crank the big wheel while the sound repeats it's progress. This method of Argentine open fire cooking has made my wife like steak off the grill again. Everything about the Argentine /Santa Maria grill is Tremendous, fire bricks,latches on the door ,grates of heavy cast iron, It's the BEST. Cheers to Backyard. I received this about a month ago and love it. It’s so sturdy and versatile. I’m impressed with how easy (take your time) it was to assemble and how robust it is. I would like a firebox tutorial. Additionally, the grill was delayed a few weeks. No big deal as they were very quick and clear on it. But even better, the CEO sent a set of utensils as a mea culpa for the delay. Above and beyond!

This is the best grill you will ever buy and won’t regret trust me on this. The quality of the grill is so heavy duty. The grill comes with an all season cover not sure why it is not in the description. The assembly was really easy you just have to organized and open the screws as you go. Everything is labeled and separated nicely. Overall I recommend this 100

This grill is not some box store junk. The quality and simplicity of assembly is great! It’s so versatile and is a handsome addition to our yard. Now I’ve got to build the Mrs. a patio. I bought this a few months ago and used it about 6 times. Besides being very sturdy and with good materials, I have a couple of issues with it. First, the metal bar that goes across the bottom of the grill over the bricks. This is very uncomfortable, being from Argentina I have never seen that before and it’s not great when trying to move hot coals, specially the back part. Another big issue is that when using the fire box, metal seems to expand and the grill gets stuck when moving up and down, even when using the metal bar, which looses a lot of the purpose of a a santa Maria/Argentina grill.

I was a bit concerned to purchase because I was not able to see actual grill. Arrived as scheduled and on pallet. The material is very sturdy and secure. It did take some time to assemble but instructions are clear. Huge grill. Cooking area is big and comfortable to work on. All the added extras for hanging sausage and meats is a plus. Planning family gathering to enjoy a complete Argentine Parillada like back home.

This Argentinian Grill is solid! Well-built with top quality material. For this price range—the quality is amazing. This grill is heavy, solid, and perfectly fitted together—every hole, every connection was perfectly aligned for assembly. The instructions for assembly, especially using the BILT app, were complete and detailed. Assembly time suggested 2hrs to complete—maybe with two people, by myself it took closer to four hours. I have a 4-burnner Weber gas grill, a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker, and an outdoor pizza oven—so this Argentinian Grill completed our outdoor cooking/grilling needs. This is built to last and comes with a cover. I assembled in my garage and moved to my patio area (waited to install fire bricks; brasero; and top assembly due to the weight—since had to roll over grass). Side table is legit—heavy, thick. The coal shovel is extremely useful to shovel coals under brasero to main grill area. Seems they added a removable bottom rail that sits on top of the fire bricks—but this is fine since grilling Argentinian style demands that the coals be spread out and not directly under the meat (though fine if you want to put coals on top of the rail). If you have doubts due to the low price—since it is a few thousand less than most Argentinian Grills on the market-- I would say don’t hesitate to buy this, it is a great value! Be sure to look up some videos on Argentinian grilling as the slow cook style is different from the way you are probably used to grilling. Low heat and slow grilling locks in the flavor and juices. While it is heavy, 350 lbs., it roles easily over pavers or patio concrete. I would suggest also purchasing a Pizza Oven Brush and an Ash Rake (already had for my outdoor pizza oven) for moving coals and to help with clean up.
