We bought this generator a year ago when we built our new house. It was one item that my wife and I wanted to be sure we had whole house coverage during any electrical outage, being that our new house was almost all electric.

This month will be 1 year since activation of the unit. Expecting the installer to contact us for maintenance, but so far, nothing. Maybe they will contact in the coming weeks of May.

I recently purchased the 18k whole house generator due to the recent weather events and various power outages. I like the Generac reputation as well as the warranty.

Veery difficult to review a standby generator because an unexpected power failure is real test. Wee bought our 26KW Generac last year and hasn't seen a power failure yet. In fact, been in this house for last 20 years and lost power twice and not more than 8 hours either time. Generator looks well designed and exercise as programmed. Not very loud and sending notices via text messages via wifi connection is awesome. I hope I never needed to use it but it comforting to know that we have a standby generator just in case we loose power. Specially when my wife's health conditions do not allow to be without power for extended period of time. The mobilink app is good but should not have to a price to edit exercise schedule. I paid but didn't like that option. Overall I am happy so far.

We paid over 10 grand just a year ago for brand new generac. It's only ran for 5 minutes at a time for its weekly test. We lost power 4 days a go. The generac kicked on and has ran solid. We haven't used much power. Mostly lights and fridge. This morning, the generac just quit. Went to check it out and it has blown oil out the side. They say our power is still a day, possibly from returning. Called generac and they can't get anyone here for at least 3 days. I'm very disappointed and sickened that we spent well over 10 grand on this product. I don't feel at all comforted ,now, for having it for emergency.

It was a big investment, but once we went through power outages without loss of food, lights, etc., the investment is paying off.

Luckily, I have not had to have it kick in and work yet. No power outages since I installed it. However, it is doing its weekly test without issues.

We have lost electricity 5 times since installing our Generac and it has come on in seconds! We highly recommend it!

Before a week was out after install had company over for the weekend main power went out gen came on and guest never new

Had this generator installed here in Florida because the question isn’t whether the power will go out it’s when.
