Bought this generator about 6 weeks ago.  The install was completed without any issues or concerns.  Final connection was completed after gas company upgraded the meter.  We had a power outage about 2 weeks after the install and never noticed the power going out.  The generator started so fast there was never a flicker of the lights.

Our new generator is a comforting sight and adds a level of security knowing our home will stay warm and comfortable regardless of weather and severe storms. 
We occasionally travel for business and have to leave our pets home for the duration. Knowing our home will never be without power and heat during the winter months is a huge relief. We live in a heavily tree lined region in upstate New York that experiences above average power outages due to high winds and severe weather. This generator is well worth the money.

Peace of mind

We live in the south and figured this would just be a "what if" we had ice or snow product. Rarely do we have a winter in which we encounter a power outage from ice on the lines. However, we have already been grateful for having the Generac installed. Every other Wednesday it comes on and tests itself like we had the electrician program it to do as was specified in the instructions, but twice we've had the power just pop off for other mechanical reasons in our area. In fact, last night the generator kicked in at 11:45 p.m. when the transformer outside decided to "die." It took the electric company till 2:20 a.m. to get the power back on. We were glad for the heat, don't laugh, but we had a low of 32 degrees last night and for us that's a little low to be without heat. Also, we didn't have to worry about the food in the frig. The other time was during the fall, when the temperature and the humidity were both still very high. We were able to enjoy the afternoon inside while cool and relaxed. My dad is 92 and I am also retired so having a comfortable home is very important to us and our generator makes that all possible. Don't hesitate to buy a Generac. It's reliable and wonderfully efficient.

Generac Genie in a Box

Less than two weeks after having our whole house generator installed, a wind storm passed through our state and knocked out our power for three days.  Having two 80+ year old in-laws with medical conditions living with us made the power provided by the generator a literal life saver. 
I would highly recommend the Generac generator. My wife says it is the best investment that we have made in the last 25 years.

It has been a lifesaver

This is my second Generac over the last 13 years. Besides the one malfunction I had on my last generac both generators haven't missed a lick. Very dependable! I would buy another one if needed. And would recommend this generator to anyone! Thanks for everything!

this product has upgraded very nicely since my last generator i bought from Generac!

I bought this last year when Michigan was out of power; yes, practically the entire state was out because of a massive ice storm. I was without power for 3 days, called the Genarac dealer and they installed the next day. There was a small problem, they installed the wrong size generator (18KW instead of the 22) but, because it was an emergency, they installed, but didn't bury the lines and set in the ground. They came back after the ice storm and replaced and reset. It runs for 5 minutes every Saturday. Good thing, a year later, another ice storm. Power went out and I didn't even know it. I woke up to everything running, including my robot vacuum. Wasn't till about 1/2 hour later that I realized the generator was running. My only complaint, after about 24 hours, I could smell gas (propane) in my house. I didn't know if it was just the fumes from the generator or if I had a gas leak from ice. But once the generator shut off, the smell went away. So, I guess it was just fumes.

Quiet enough that I didn't know it was running.

We are very pleased with our Generac generator. It was installed in April 2017 and by the end of May we had already seen the benefits of our Generac 3 times! It is quiet, and the switch over from normal to generator is seamless. Great product - so glad we purchased!

This is a "must have" item for any home!

Nice complete package.  I found the instructions for installation confusing.  I would have liked all the specifications for installation
in one place or chart.  Wire and pipe sizing
chart would be nice.  Runs great, works great.
Other than weekly exercising, it has only come on one time for about 15 minutes.

very good overall

I had this Generator installed about 4 months ago. The power failed only once since then and the Generator kicked in within 10 seconds. We hardly noticed the power failure. If this Generator continues to work like this (with proper maintenance) for the next 10 years--I will consider this as an outstanding investment. So far so good.

Generac Generator

Generator arrived with no visional signs of damage from shipping company. Uncrated and found the front cover was damaged from assembly... not shipping.  Un-skidded generator and found manuals and engine oil missing.  Called Generac customer service and requested replacement cover, manuals, and engine oil.  Waited one week and heard nothing from Generac.  Call again requesting update and was told request has been placed by no update on whether Generac would replace cover or manuals.  Engine oil was a solid NO.  Will not ship oil, will have to purchase from local distributor at my cost.  It's now been over 2-weeks with no response from Generac; however, I received a package in the mail with the manuals.  Called again about the damaged front cover and this time requested to speak with a manager of customer service.  Was asked to send photos of damage for their inspection and review. Just received today 11.30.2023 that request was granted a new cover will be shipped.
