I bought this generator and installation was attempted by a Generac “Elite” dealer and installer. Now, 3 weeks later, and after multiple attempts by the installer, IT STILL DOES NOT WORK! There are battery charging error codes and fuel delivery error codes. If it comes on during the weekly self test it shuts off after 4 minutes, the warning light turns red and it sends a warning that it won’t restart in an emergency. Don’t waste your money buying a Generac 22KW whole house standby generator. Look at other brands that actually work .

I'm so thankful I purchased this generator my daughter had been wanting me to buy one for a few years . Me being afraid to step out on faith thinking we couldn't afford one. So we prayed about it God heard our prayers and sent the right salesmen to talk to us about it. I almost called him and told him not to come but a small voice dropped into my spirit and said just listen to what he has to say and the rest was history.. so thankful I listened and didn't make that call to not come and tell me about this generator... We are so thankful and it's at a price that we can pay without a struggle... Yes God will always get the glory from us. . GREAT INVESTMENT to our home. Thank you all so very kindly. I bought this unit for a rental tiny home on my property. I had already installed a 17kv Generac which services the main house. We have electrical outages several times per year in our rural location and our Generacs work flawlessly to seamlessly continue to provide power when this occurs.

Since these initial and really no longer relevant items above there have been two emergency stops. I basically emailed everybody for whom I had an address and Kirsten Sandoval responded and told me how to to fix the error. "This issue can be resolved by going out to the generator, making sure the black switch located on the back of the generator is in the up position open the generator lid press off press enter, press auto, and that should clear the code." The first time that occurred was September 7, 2025 according to the date on the email and it occurred once more earlier this year. There is a possible future problem here in that my spouse is not mobile and I am becoming less mobile with age and I can foresee some time in the future when I can't go outside and fix it myself so if there is a permanent fix that would be great. For a period of time after installation the mobile connection would fail for a period of time. I made several complaints and perhaps somebody came out and fixed it when I wasn't here or they did something online to fix it but it has worked fine since.

Installed two months - 1 power outage - unit failed. dealer has been out 8-10x. new motor, new wiring harness. every sensor has displayed multiple faults. total piece of junk. I have had a green mobile link status 2 days out of 2 months. At this point Generac should be refunding me my money and removing this unit! it has never worked. think there are serious electrical / computer issues with this brand. all my neighbors that have generac told me it took several months to get them sorted.

We have been thinking about buying a Generac for years. So glad we finally did! Our neighbors had their installation done in 2018. Every time a storm caused an outage, they were completely comfortable, up and running! It has made us feel much more secure with the hurricane season coming.

Been over a month and I have no resolution to an Engine Speed Alarm/Fault that renders the system to not initiate automatically as designed when my power goes out. Without this key feature operating correctly I feel dissatisfied. No eta has been provided for a fix which adds to my frustration.

We have 2 homes. One is a small ranch in the country that has 10 other people on the power leg. It is not uncommon to have power outages frequently. During an ice storm power was out for 2 weeks. Not mine! The other home is a lake home which also takes a long time for power to return to normal. Bottom line is we will not have home with out a generator. We use the 22K on propane. The ranch has 2 large a/c units, 2 upright freezers and 2 refrigerators. The generator runs the whole house just fine.

At my age of 67, I am glad to finally get an install a Generac standby generator. Even if the power just goes out for a few hours, it will be much easier to put up with the inconvenience. Basically there won't be an inconvenience. I believe standby generators are worth every penny.

Just installed and completed and we have no issues. Had to leave our first Generac at the old house and now have the new and improved version. The simplicity of managing is great, have recommended to our neighbors and they are being installed and ordered as I type.
