We had our Generac Generator installed yesterday May the 8, 2017 and the guys who installed it were very helpful with answering all questions. We loose power quite often and this will help so not having to run around in the dark and can still cook and what ever we need to do without loss of power.

We live in SW Louisiana and decided on the Generac 22kw back up generator primarily because of name recognition in reliability and its sleek authoritative appearance. To stay ahead of the hurricane season peak, we thought it was prudent to have our portable generators serviced. When we were told one of our existing portable generators needed to be replaced it was a no brainer in deciding to opt for a whole house stand by. We also had just recently experienced an unusual several hours long outage with our electrical utility company and the inconvenience was fresh on our minds. So we made the decision and the unit was installed just two weeks before hurricane Laura struck. No one could have imagined we would be hit with a category 2-3, almost 70 miles inland with such veracity. The power grid was decimate. And when power went down at 3:30 a.m. on the morning of the storm we were ready. The swap by the transfer switch was the length of our outage, which was a matter of seconds while the rest of our neighbors endured a seven day outage in our subdivision and many others are still without power on day 11. Our whole house stand by generator has already proven itself to be well worth the investment with reliable and quality power generation. The concern of unexpected outages is a thing of the past. And as a retiree of 28 years with an electrical utility company, I have confidence in the safety the automatic transfer switch provides for the men and women who work to restore the electricity to our homes. So, it's a win, win and was just in time for the storm.

As a lifelong resident of North Florida, I have always been concerned with the risk of losing power during hurricane season, both at home and at work. For several years, I considered having a whole house generator installed, but could not justify the cost. I had done enough research that I knew that I wanted a Generac unit, as it appeared to have become the standard in backup power units, much like Apple products has done with cell phones, and Microsoft has accomplished with computers. When Hurricane Irma left us without power for 5 days, I began researching units again, and was pleasantly surprised that the unit cost had continued to decline. With hurricane season approaching again, we decided the cost was justifiable. We had a unit installed last week. The Automatic Transfer Switch works like a charm. It senses when power is lost and automatically starts the generator. Likewise, when regular power is restored, the switch senses that and starts the generator shut down process. As the owner, I didn't have to lift a finger! While we do not ever want to face another hurricane, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none. We are now prepared. Generac has made life easier!

The generator was installed within 1 month of the initial sales meet. The project coordinator made the process completely painless. Everything was included except for the Propane hookup/install which we took care of. Generator is exactly as advertised!

James, Dylan, and David did an excellent job of installing and testing our new Generac system. They were courteous, skillful, and very knowledgeable in this installation process. We look forward to our new system providing comfort and peace of mind in our Florida weather.

Have had this unit for 2 years and other than testing for 5 minutes once a week, it has run once for less than 10 seconds. It gives us the security of knowing, if and when we need it, it will work! The BUT is it is LOUD. Regardless of what you are told, your neighbors are going to know when it is testing. Not sure how Generac can address it, but hopefully they will come up with a solution to damping the noise on future models. Bottomline, we love the security it gives us and highly recommend this unit.

Mr James at Hughes Electric, Memphis Tennessee was by far the best service person that I have ever come in contact with. He was down to earth, patient and very knowledgeable. He explained everything and put me at ease with my generator. He showed up when he said he would. After the installation, and explanation, my power went out and everything he said would happen with the generator did and I’m so glad I made the purchase but appreciate all that Mr. James did to help me understand and assurance that it was a great buy. Best service experience and purchase ever.

Our Generac has been installed for roughly a week. We haven't currently had the need for it. But any day now. Living in rural Louisiana, I expect that day will come soon enough. Very sleek looking machine that fit perfectly alongside our central H&A units. I know the distributor. His service & explanation was perfect and insightful. If we have any issues, I fully expect him to address them. We are beyond pleased with this Generac 24KW

New install, so , I don't have any comments operating experience. Dealer appears to have done a very good job on the install. The installers took time to explain function of the system (transfer switch and generator). When running the generator in manual mode, I was expecting it to be a quieter.

We lost power less than 24 hours after our generator was installed. After 25 years of many ,many power outages caused by trees falling all over Atlanta and taking out the power lines, we were so thrilled to have instant back up power like most of our neighbors. No more searching for lanterns and remembering to charge up phones and iPads with each approaching storm This Generator makes us so happy !! Sorry we waited so long!
