I had a smaller generator, not a Generac, that did not power whole house. I purchased 22kw from local dealer, Home Power Systems. They were servicing my previous unit and was happy with their responsiveness. The new unit was installed promptly, as promised and the work was quality. The unit performs as they told me it would, powering all appliances and air conditioning. My only concern is that I have not been emailed, as yet, the link to activate the Mobile Link app to monitor unit via WiFi.

We are very pleased with our 22 kw whole house generator. Our subdivision has overhead lines and we lose power a lot. The automatic switch over makes it so much easier than our old portable version. Perkins staff were all knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. They discussed all our options and configurations for our home.

PGE power outages are now part of living in California. We used to pack our food up in ice chests and head for a hotel. The Generac we installed lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. A minor few seconds after the outage and it kicks in automatically. Everything in the house works great and we keep going like normal. Awesome product!!!

I purchased the Guardian 18KW Whole House WI-FI Enabled Model. It looks Awesome and it kicks on every Monday at 10am for a test. The peace of mind it gives me is immeasurable. Every time there is an ice storm or a rain storm, I am not worried in the least that I will lose power. Just waiting for the storm ! ha ha

The contractor that installed instructed me on the installation, use and knowledge of this equiptment. I can now have a piece of mind knowing that the generac generator will kick in when power goes off. Also no gasoline just natural gas which relieves me of much work. My neighbors are very interested and are impressed with ease of the generatot.

As a lifelong resident of North Florida, I have always been concerned with the risk of losing power during hurricane season, both at home and at work. For several years, I considered having a whole house generator installed, but could not justify the cost. I had done enough research that I knew that I wanted a Generac unit, as it appeared to have become the standard in backup power units, much like Apple products has done with cell phones, and Microsoft has accomplished with computers. When Hurricane Irma left us without power for 5 days, I began researching units again, and was pleasantly surprised that the unit cost had continued to decline. With hurricane season approaching again, we decided the cost was justifiable. We had a unit installed last week. The Automatic Transfer Switch works like a charm. It senses when power is lost and automatically starts the generator. Likewise, when regular power is restored, the switch senses that and starts the generator shut down process. As the owner, I didn't have to lift a finger! While we do not ever want to face another hurricane, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none. We are now prepared. Generac has made life easier!

We are relieved to have this whole house Generac generator installed as a feature of our home. It is reliable and quiet during the weekly testing. We have had any power outages since the installment but are confident it service our home in the event of an outage.

Swain Electric was easy to work with and took great lengths to get us the proper sign for our 2-story home. We wanted the Generac generator because of its recognizability and reliability. It took an extensive perior of time because the installed (no longer w/ Swain) did not pay attention to City requirements, but we are very pleased with the unit. It is placed out of sight and is actually quite quiet. Final hook-up and instructions on how to operate the unit went very smoothly. We were amazed how relatively easy it is to operate. I had the 22kw generator professionally installed. The instalL was organized, neat and clean. I had a 2.25 hr power outage shortly after install. The generator performed as expected with consistent power throughout. We continued on as if nothing happened. Due to increasing frequency of storms, our outage frequency is increasing. This has been a great purchase. If you buy one make sure it is installed by pros.

This product is everything you can hope for. It certainly takes a lot of your mine in case of a power outage especially during a storm/ hurricane. I don't have to worry about filling up gas cans, and preparing my portable generator anymore, along with running extension cords .
