Only a couple months after installing the unit, a winter storm caused a 3 day power outage. Our house was the only one with power for the well pump, hot water and heat for the entire time. The generator does its test every Wednesday at 1pm and is only on for 10 minutes, power went out for a couple of hours and the generator came on within seconds after the power went out and shut off when the power was restored, so far so good and now I won't have the wife upset when we don't have power, thank you " one happy customer"

At first I was suspect with all of the bells and whistles of this generator, but last fall and so far this winter, it has kept my home functional and safe from intruders who prey of power outages. I have discussed this generator with my neighbors, they too plan on buying one.

We live off the beaten path in Midcoast Maine. After losing power several times, I did a lot of research on generators. I ended up purchasing the Generac. Less than a week after it was installed we had an ice storm. In under 15 seconds, EVERYTHING came back on. This is a quality generator that is a great value.

I love everything about this product except one thing.....there is no app or internet based access to my Generator. When we are away sure would be nice to click on my Generac App to keep status of what's going on with my unit.....Seems this would be a given in this day and age of technology. Let's hope that this will be available in the near future and be adaptable to my unit. Also I was unable to upload my pics as you have a 5MB limit...my mobile phone takes HDR pics and are bigger than your limit - that's unfortunate...maybe just restrict the total size instead of the pics themsleves.

I live in an area where our power goes out at least once a month. To know that we do not have to worry about that anymore is awesome. The installer we had that was qualified to install by Generac was very knowledgeable and informative. He let us know what he was doing throughout the entire insolation process. After the install he went over everything very thurally and insured us that if we need anything to call him! Great job Generac!

Installed fairly easily, used an electrician to connect wiring. Ran well in test. Runs every 2 weeks in automatic mode. After reading past reviews, hope it holds up for a while. Came with 49 hours on the meter, now has 51 hours on meter. Guess we'll see.

I have had it for a year now, and of course there has not been a power outage since the installation. However I did decide to run a simulation of an outage and was very happy with the results. My only issue is the description provided on Generac's website, makes it sound like the noise level is just above the level of an air conditioner. If I had an air conditioner that loud, I would be worried!!

Purchased at the right time,researched price,quality and performance ..picked Generac and experienced a power outage for 5 1/2 hours. Transferred over and back without a hitch.(mother in law was home and didn't notice anything). One of the best investments i ever made.

My unit was installed in March 2016. Other than the weekly exercise period, there have only been a few times when the generator kicked in due to loss of power. There has been no problem with almost immediate replacement of power. There has been no failure to kick in. I'm very satisfied and happy with my purchase and dealer/installer.
