First off, it was so easy to set up which was nice. Secondly, it really enhances the sound and makes it feel like you’re in the movie theater! It makes everything sound awesome. I think of myself as tech savvy, but I could not get this soundbar to work correctly. It was paired to my LG C1 OLED and settings were still ridiculously complicated. I use the apps directly from the TV and every time you switch between streaming sites the sound is completely off. I couldn't watch a movie because I was spending the whole time trying to set the TV and the soundbar settings to work correctly. Don't even get me started on switching HDMI signals and sound settings. RETURNED SOUNDBAR TO STORE!

Installed this with a new LG TV about three weeks ago. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to hook up - pretty much plug and play. Sound is fantastic, thinking about adding the rear satellite speakers in a bit. I thought the LG TV sound was good by itself until hooking up the SPD7Y - what a difference: more richness, nice bass, etc. First experience with using an ARC-E device, really like the easy install and one remote capability. Between this soundbar and the LG TV there are SO MANY options that it can be overwhelming to sort out what you want. I've been happy with most of the out of the box settings - clear voice really helps us older folks understand some of the dialogue that can be muddled with foreign accents, and generally poor diction on the actors' parts.

My family and I have an absolute blast every time we decide to play music, watch a movie, or simply watch TV. We thoroughly enjoy the loud, heavy sound profile that this device provides. Additionally, it comes equipped with bass and treble adjustments for an audio experience tailored to your liking! Lastly, the only gripe that I have is the fact that this Soundbar lacks a low-bass adjustment. Otherwise, I can confidently assert that this is yet another sound piece of technology from LG!

You can easily connect to your wifi if you have an LG app. The quality of sound is excellent. It really enhances your TV experience. There are a few settings to choose from. The woofer is also easy to connect and complements the sound bar. If you have a LG TV I recommend this soundbar system as a must have. I paired my soundbar with and LG Tv and used the optical port to get sound to the soundbar. I was thinking that I was going to get some super surround sound like a 5.1 Bose system that I have had in the past. But this is not that kind of system. It is a soundbar. It has all the speakers in the front. It works as a great center channel speaker and two front speakers. The wireless subwoofer pairs well with the system and helps to give some needed bass in a speaker system. The audio quality is really good and it works well in a small room. I would like to pair it with wireless surrounds to get a complete surround sound. But for what I have gotten with the system, I am very pleased with it and expect to use it all the time.

It pairs perfectly with any TV and the Dolby Atmos feature is incredible. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high end Soundbar at a very good price. I brought the SPD7Y to replace an older Bosed 3-2-1 which subwoofer no longer worked. Efforts to fix was to no avail. The SPD7Y was very affordable and the sounds it produced are outstanding considering the price. I checked out the other LG sound bar and this was the sweet spot for purchasing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this about a month ago and the sound bar worked really well. However the documentation was really lacking. You only get a very basic manual with the system. There was no online manual available for this product either. There is an app that you can download which I had to find out on my own about, as there was no reference to it anywhere. I got the rear speakers as well but they didn't work well, which is why I wanted the manual. I ended up calling customer service to get help with it and they were not at all of any value in helping me. They were just reading out of the same useless manual. In the end I just returned the rear speakers and gave up. The sound bar itself works and sounds good but I wish I had surround sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife convinced me (wink, wink) to upgrade from our previous SN7Y LG Soundbar to the current model SPD7Y for our main TV which is an LG Nanocell 4K. I thought this would be nice upgrade and allow me to put our other great LG soundbar in our family room. I'm very glad I did because the SPD7Y has some upgraded interfaces that make it better. The bluetooth button is perfect for me because I crank out music through the surround sound system on the daily. It is such a pleasant thrill that the sound quality has a bit more bass in this model. When you listen with the Dolby Atmos available the sounds on movies and streaming. I have my soundbar set up with the add-on SPK-8 surround sound speakers and I cannot recommend this setup enough - the sound experience is what I want from a home sound system. Although I received this product at a discount for my honest opinion, the retail price is fantastic for what you get. This model is worth it.
