Just purchased the Westinghouse WGen5300sc generator for backup power for some vital circuits (heat, water etc) for the house. Assembly was super easy: just add mounting feet, wheels, hook up battery, oil and gas. Started right up and ran fine. Plugged it into my transfer switch and all worked like it should. Super happy so far!

Ordered this generator to prepare for power loss this winter. Arrived as promised. Followed steps and easy to assemble by myself. A little heavy but able to turn over for assembly. Followed all instructions and started right up and ran well. Thankfully I haven't had to use it, but I'm sure it will do the job of keeping lights on and small appliances running.

Great packaging, easy to follow instructions for unpacking. (use the cardboard sides of the generator box for a works surface) Unpacked the wheel kit and installing the wheel kit took about 20 minutes (took a few minutes to locate where the mounting feet attached to the frame) Added oil - the tip of the funnel screws in the neck of the oil filler for a nice tight connection. Uses all of the oil supplied, poor very slowly and have a rag to clean up … Added gas. stabilizer and connected the battery charger. From unpacking to this point took about 45 minutes.

I bought this on 12/16/24 after a 2 1/2 day power outage. Haven't needed to use it yet, but am confident it won't fail. I've had years of experience using generators in my career. This a Westinghouse WGen5300sc is sturdy, well built and easy to put into service. I've run it a few times to familiarize myself and my wife with the operation from start up to shut down. No issues. We're ready for the next outage.

I'm 79 years old and this is the best generator I ever had. It's so easy for me to start, just push the button and it starts right up. I received it in excellent condition and it was very easy for me to add the wheels, oil, and gas. Started right up for me. It's built really good and it's well worth the price. I'm excited to use it. I would advise anyone looking for a generator to buy this one if it fits your needs.

I just bought this generator in January 2025. The generator was very easy to assemble and instruction manual was easy to follow. The " Quick Start Guide was excellent ". The generator started very easy the first time and the noise level was much better than expected.

i bought this WGen5300sc a couple week's ago and after putting the oil and gas in it started right up and runs great smooth and don't make as much noise as a smaller generator that i have does. tried the pull start and started first pull. i really like it. and good warranty.

Just got today, super easy assembly, instruction manual easy to read and understand. Started right up after filling with included oil, love the included funnel. Just like that, Ready to go. Hopefully will stay on standby, and not lose electricity. Thanks for a Quality product.

Big snow is coming today and I received the generator yesterday delivered on time as expected. Was easy to setup the unit and test run it. Much quieter then our older Huskey generator. Electric start is a wonderful feature. Easy well marked control panel and large gas cap opening makes filling with fuel safer and easy too. Relatively compact size is a bonus. Would buy again and recommend to friends!

Our generator is absolutely the best! It has kept us nice and warm and our food frozen while we had no power several times. I don't know what we would do without it! It has been the best investment we have ever made! We highly suggest this one and only by this brand! We had another brand before and it let go very fast, so that one was a waste of money, but this one, definitely not!!!!!!!
