Bought this gen as an emergency backup for the house. Unpacked it, added oil and gas and it fires right up. Air filter housing was damaged during shipping but was able to call Westinghouse (on a Sunday and talk to a human!) to get a replacement part.

This was purchased due to frequent power loss here in the back country. This genset is perfect for what I need. It has the outlet that enables energizing all circuits and can be used for an RV and power equipment far from my house. Easy electric starting, easy maintenance and quiet operation.

After going through another 5 day power outage and using pool water to flush toilets, I knew I needed to get a generator. My electrician recommended Westinghouse and I see why - works great and is compact! I plan on only running essentials (well, boiler, refrigerator and freezer) and I am confident this will handle more. The included wheels are a bonus and I don't have to worry about filling them with air. I like that you can choose a model with or without a battery - I chose without since I didn't want to add more weight or another thing to take care of. Bring it on, mother nature!

I bought this generator on-line last week, received it in 3 days and had it set up and running in less than an hour. It easily powers everything in our 1300 sq. foot house, including the fridge, baseboard hot water heating, boiler, 240V well pump, as well as lights and TV/stereo! It's an amazing little unit, and remarkably compact for its rated output.

After looking at many different generators my husband said this is exactly the one for us. It has enough watts for our needs. Starts easily on the first pull or instantly with the electric starter switch. Legs and wheels were very easy to install. Good price

I bought this 7 months ago but just unpacked it and set it up the other day. Wheel kit was easy and I added the oil and some gas and pushed the start button. Cranked in two seconds and ran smooth. Also, it's extremely quiet. Old generator was a hand crank, hard to start, killed my back, and was very loud. Thanks for building a nice product.

I needed a portable generator cause I was sick of losing power evertytime it rained. I bought this Westinghouse one and it was exactly what I needed! Easy to understand on how it works and perfect to do my whole house. Now I get wait to lose power! :)

I bought two generators. One for my father n law and the other one for our family. Easy to assemble and works like a charm. My daughter, 16 years old, helped out and did an amazing job assembling the tires. Love you! My father-in-law lives in Houston, TX and his area is prone to hurricanes and flash flooding events. This generator replaces his old generator of His home is already set up with a converter outlet to power his home when the city power goes down. We bought to brand new cables and had our electricians install the L14-30 connecters. He's about to turn 82 years old and he's still staying active even though his knees already gave out. He has to take care of his son who is has been bed ridden for the past 33 years. Without electricity, he can not care for him when using medical equipment. I love my father-n-law for being such a great man and human being! Thank you Westinghouse for making a great product!

Recently purchased the wgen5300s. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Setup was easy and the instructions were clear. I tested the unit by connecting two 1500 watt space heaters and then added my miter saw. It handled the load as expected. I also tested the electric start and the manual pull cord. Both worked perfectly.

This generator is compact and easily portable-the wheels really help. Started on first try and is significantly quieter than others I have owned. Works like a charm and I am quite impressed with the added features (fuel gauge, auto shutoff, etc.). I highly recommend!
