Just received it yesterday. Easy assembly with good user manual. After putting in oil and gas it started up and provided output. So it is ready for our next power outage which happens very frequently whenever we have a strong wind which blowes down trees or branches.

Recent tornadoes in our community motivated me to create a backup power solution in my home. The Westinghouse When 5300V was impressive straight out of the box. Easy start, solid construction and does everything as advertised! Happy about my purchase have recommended to friends!

Generator is heavy (expected), so I highly recommend cutting the box at the corners. This will also make set up easier. Setup was very straight forward. Got it started and checked voltages with a multimeter to confirm proper operation. Compared to other generators that I have used, this one is on par with some of the more expensive ones regarding consistent power output. The power output for this one is more than we needed and even runs my domestic water heater (Rated @ 4500w) which is the largest load that I have to run (even if it is just by itself). Recommend it for house power during outages (intended use for me). Pros: Easy set up, easy maintenance, easy to use. Options for electronic start or manual start. Enough power to run almost anything, although not at the same time. Clear User Manual. Also, when you register it, Westinghouse sends you a cover for the generator. Cons: Noise level would be my only complaint. This is also expected of a running engine at 3600 rpm. Not recommend for camping due to the noise levels. Also, do not recommend running at night if living in a neighborhood. You will make your neighbors mad, unless you share the power (which this allows fairly easy with a regular extension cord).

Bought this generator as a back up after a storm to power a few household items. I was easy to unpack and add the wheels/legs. The product came damaged from shipping, but I contacted the customer service hotline and had a new piece sent to me immediately hassle free. I was very impressed on how great the customer service was and how responsive they were. I was kept in the loop throughout the process. I am glad I bought this generator!

Bought this generator as a piece of mind to power multiple fridges/freezers in case of a power outage. Also, we are big time RVers and love that this has 30amp hookup for my travel trailer. What a quality product! It was very easy to set up. User manual was great on how to make sure you knew exactly how to get the generator running and proper shut down procedure. I'm not sure when I will need this so I started it and put it to the test and everything ran so smoothly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

JUST RECEIVED MY GENERATOR. I'M IMPRESSED WITH THE FEATURES. MY 19 YEAR OLD ONE JUST CRAPPED OUT. I LIKE THE GAUGES AND THE WHEELS AND BUILT IN HANDEL. OUT OF THE BOX IT STARTED WITH ONE PULL. RAN FOR AN HOUR TO BREAK IT IN. NOT TOO LOUD EITHER. SEEMS LIKE A WELL MADE PRODUCT.

I just received my Generator and ready to go in about 45 minutes. Westinghouse even supplied a tool bag with the tools needed. A quart of oil plus funnel to make easier and cleaner to fill it. My previous generator, which was only 2 years old and destoryed by a flood, you had use the recoil cord to start. This model comes with a battery so with flick of a switch its on. great feature.

I purchase unit in May then had electrician install home transfer switch. Electrician informed me he had same unit and was very happy with it. The directions for setup are very clear. I have done required setup and now wait for mother nature to do her thing. This time I'm ready. So far very happy with unit.

We upgraded a 30 yr. old pull start generator to this one after a 2-day power outage in July. Assembled quickly and started right up. Very nice and compact unit, smaller than the old one with a little more power. The push button start is wonderful. My wife can even set this one up and start it if needed. Since then, had another 24-hr. power outage and this unit got a work out. No issues at all. Even uses less gas than the old one.

I am really happy with the Westinghouse 5300 duel fuel generator I purchased because dealing with propane power is very easy. With my last generator, I had to deal with harsh gasoline and thoroughly cleaning up the tiny spillage here and there upon refilling the thing with a gas can (which also permeats the air with fumes). The Westinghouse is great.
