I wanted to select and plug in the generator for wiring already done in the house. This generator has satisfied all the requirements and working as a perfect match to pair with my requirements. Now during winter i am saved of losing the power in the house.

Great feeling the security of knowing we will have power if our electric goes out. Here in Florida it can happen any time, especially during hurricane season. The wheels make it very portable. These cart came with it. Many places you have to buy cart separate.

I was gifted this from a family member to be prepared for the impending hurricane season which they predict is going to be the worst we've seen (I don't know about that!) But nonetheless, I do want to be prepared because Katrina is still burned in my brain, and almost three weeks without electricity.....yeah, not doing that again. I'm so grateful for having this to be safe and comfy if such should happen. Thanks, Sis! :)

This thing is a beast right out of the box! Very sturdy and just feels like it has great quality. Started it up and it's not as loud as I thought my would be, and so far the power is pretty consistent on a 25% load. Assembly was a breeze! Not bad so far!

Have been looking for a generator and checked around before I decided on what to get. Before I had a small Honda and it was good for what I needed at the time. But when I saw this Westinghouse and all it had plus the price, I couldn't find anything for the price plus the features this Westinghouse has. This is a great deal.

We got this to run the refrigerator, window a/c unit and the WiFi router in case of a power outage. It's easy to set up and start. This one is gasoline only. If you'd like one that runs on propane, look for a dual fuel generator. It will cost a little more and they put out less power when running on the propane, which is why we opted for the gasoline model. Remember you'll need to calculate the starting wattage of the items you want to run. You'll need to add the running wattage of all the items you plan to plug in, and add the starting wattage of the item with the highest starting wattage. This number must be less than the peak output wattage of this generator (6600 peak watts). The total running wattage of all the items you'll be plugging in must be less than the running watts of this generator (5300 running watts). Remember you could alternate items that you plug in. So if I want to plug something else in that would add up to more than the running wattage, I can unplug the refrigerator for a while in order to run the other item. Remember to place the generator a minimum of 20 feet away from any door or window to avoid carbon monoxide entering your home. If you plan to run it in heavy rain or snow, there are running covers you can order. Westinghouse has a really nice one.

Set up and operation took just a few minutes and was easy. Once oiled and gassed, the generator started up on the first pull--impressive! I loaded the generator with about 3,000 watts of lighting and it didn't appear to be loaded at all. I'm very pleased and would recommend this generator to anyone needing power generation equipment for use on a farm or any type of emergency. Love it!

I just moved to an area where the power goes out often and for several days at a time. I bought this WGen5300 generator and I love it. It supplies my entire home including my well pump and hot water heater. As an older woman living alone, this is a very easy generator to use. Electric start with backup pull just in case. This generator has made my life easier and more worry free. Thank you Westinghouse!

Just put this together. Minimal easy assembly. Simple instructions. Push of a button and I'm good to go. This unit came highly recommended by an electrician friend of mine. I bought this for peace of mind and now I hope I never have to use it. But if I do I'm confident it will do the job.

Just purchased. Easy to put feet and wheels on. Bought yellow cord, too. Couldn't start, but an electrician helped me connect battery quick connect leads. It seems to operate fine now. Appreciate being able to call company to ask how much oil to put in.
