I am a senior widow woman. I needed something with ease so I can do this myself. I found this self start with a remote to boot! Did not even know they made them. It has no flat tires. One of the few that has rubber covers to go over all of the plugs. I think for a senior it is perfect!

I'd give it a 5 star if I run it for a few years. we all get excited and review something 5 stars when we get what we want....this is a great built, feature filled generator. Runs all we need in our home, wifi, refrig, lights, oil furnace. Running on propane only, to avoid issues with gas. It started up after 7-8 pulls, be sure to choke it even on propane. I like the little start up pics on the tank. I have my generator set up on my circut board, so I throw the switch and power up the house when power goes out. Superb buy! I hope it last as I will service it as suggested. 3yr warranty, seems very good.

I PURCHASED THIS GENERATOR A WEEK AGO AND IT WAS RIGHT ON TIME. WE HAD A RAIN & WINDSTORM EARLIER THIS EVENING & OUR POWER WENT OUT AT HOME. I WAS ABLE TO USE THE GENERATOR FOR BASIC NECESSITIES (LIGHTS, FRIDGE, HEATER, & CELL PHONES) & THIS GENERTOR PERFORMED GREAT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR EMERGENCY OR RECREATIONAL USE.

I bought this generator a few days ago. Came in quickly. Waiting on my electrician to wire up the side of the house to make it easy on my wife. This unit is electric start and will make my life easier when the power goes out. I work an hour away from home so having an electric start is great so my wife can get it going to power up the house

just bought this before holidays,perfect size for basement storage and arrived without a scratch on it! very compact and has alot of features i didnt see on higher end models.Only used it a few times but i have no regrets even with the 3 year warranty

My neighbor has one of these. During Hurricane Sally last September, he was able to power so many items n his house. At that time I did not have a generator. He told me I would really regret not getting one. So I purchased it. Upon initial startup, it quickly fired up. I was able to power items quickly. This is going to be a purchase that I will not regret. Thanks Westinghouse.

I was looking for a generator with remote start and an automatic choke and not to large. The wGen5300c Fit the bill. This unit starts from the remote, whether it's cold or hot outside. The Generator's now broken in and will be installed in a remote location. It will be started by an automation controller's relays, connected by soldering to the pad of the keyfob's on and off buttons, thereby not voiding the warranty. The only other things I would have liked is a cleaner waveform and copper windings for the generator's alternator.

We bought this because we have an older model generator that we're not sure how much longer it'll be around, even though currently it still runs pretty good. But we didn't want to be left in the cold so to speak. One of the best features was the fact that it has the electric start so no more pulling on a cord, Unless you just want to lol! Hubby really loves the muffler system. Great big bonus it has the pug in already on the system to plug in the RV, no adapter needed! We are very happy!

I received with no visible damages. I thought this was important to say since there were so many reviews that stated they received with damages. I also didn't buy because of so many. I gave 4 stars because I have not added the oil or gas. Will do that tomorrow and hopefully it works fine.

The 1st generator send out was damaged in shipping. I contacted Westinghouse and it was fairly easy get it all together to return. The day the shipping company picked up the damaged one the new one shipped. It did take a little while for the replacement to get to me due to bad weather delay. The new one fired right up and is just what I needed.
