I LOVE this washer. It is not top of the line, but it does everything I need. I particularly love the SuperSpeed setting if my wash it not terribly dirty. The Active Water Jet gets everything clean, even on the SuperSpeed setting. The washer is quiet and super energy efficient. Very happy with my purchase!

Love my new washer! It is so roomy that I can easily wash everything. No issues with the bedding, I throw it all in and use the deep fill mode to add more water. The washer itself is about the same height as my existing dryer, but since it is top loaded, with the lid open I am unable to hang my clothes to dry on the rod/hangers. It's so quiet that my dogs don't stand guard and bark at it like my old washer lol It's very quiet

I love that it softly closes and connects to the phone via smart things app. The app will let me know when I need to do a self clean cycle and the washer looks great after doing that. I love that I know how long the wash will take and that there is a quick wash option. I can also choose to delay the start time which is nice. The app reminds me when it’s done as well. I love the vibration reduction in this washer, it stays still and doesn’t move.

Samsung has brought my household into the wonders of doing laundry their way in the 21st century. And what a revelation it is! First thing I noted was the capacity size....it's huge. I can do fewer loads of household laundry instead of having to do one load after another. Everything fits in one wash. I could even wash large items instead of having to take them to the cleaners to do. Second thing I noticed was how quiet it is when it runs, and how it doesn't shudder and shake during the spin cycle. Everything comes out with less water left so is quicker to dry. In a city like LA where we are so energy conscious, this is fantastic and it'll be interesting to see if it gets reflected in my monthly utility bills. I have tried out the Samsung Smartthings App, which I use for our new Samsung dishwasher too, and it is fun. I'm not as tech reliant as my kids who use it for everything. We are total Samsung enthusiasts and this washing machine doesn't disappoint. It's another Samsung winner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit delayed in getting to use our new Samsung Washing machine due to a burst pipe in the house so they couldn't install it for awhile. But it was worth the wait. I'd amassed a huge pile of laundry: clothes rIpe for washing. I thought I was looking at spending a whole day or two at home just doing laundry. Was able to get everything done in 2 loads due to the ginormous capacity of this new machine. I could see that my clothes and sheets had less detergent residue on them too. So it must rinse well. I'd left and forgotten to turn on the 2nd load so thankfully I could use my Samsung Smartthings app to start and track the load. I use this app on all my Samsung products and it's inuititive, easy to get anything done, and I knew exactly when I had to get back to put my stuff in the dryer. I told my Mom that we now have to get a great new Samsung dryer instead of the old jalopy we have. If/when I ever get my own home I'm definitely going to fill it with Samsung appliances.

The first thing that sparked my mind was this SmartThings app. I love the option to be able to set my washer from inside especially when I have things that need to soak a little more which is also another great feature. The capacity of the washer is awesome. I’ve washed a bunch of blue jeans, towel a bed comforter and still had room left in the washer. Hands down this is the best capacity washer I have ever owned I have not tried the self clean option but assure you I will. The wash speed is great. I love the quick wash for sure. The interior of the washer is pretty cool looking. When I put clothes in I always think there’s no way these clothes can’t get clean. Oh and the vibration reduction technology is definitely noticed when you start a load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrade from a front loader to this washing machine. Pros: Convenient messages sent to phone when the washer is completed. Great size to hold loads. Self cleaning mode is a nice feature. Cons: Wish you could change the temp and time features more easliy,but maybe need to read up some more to figure it out. Sometimes it doesn't complete the cycle and shows as done,but no rinse cycle was performed.

Don't do it. Don't buy this washer, as nice as all the features appear to be. I've only had it for about 4 years and it already went bad. It has never handled large loads well. It leaves residue after it drains, so if I wash my white bath rugs, I have to rewash another 2 or 3 times to get the dirt left over out because it just floats on the water as it drains. The springs went bad so it gets out of balance super easy and they are expensive to replace. But the warranty was worthless so I've had to pay so much for repairs at this point that I actually wish I would have never bought it. Save yourself the trouble.

As some who is constantly washing for a family of 8, that's huge for me. I love that it saves me time. The tub is also quite deep! If you’re smaller in stature you'll property need a step stool. However the deeper tub also allows for larger / bulkier items like bedding. LOVE the Dynamic WaterJet —-The Dynamic WaterJet is an underlying water fixture that helps with simple pre-treatment of smudged garments. It’s a very useful feature . **SmartThings App** The SmartThings app is super user friendly. It interacts well with the washer and alerts me when my wash is completed right on my cell phone. Honestly, I love this feature because the washer runs so quietly this way you are notified when it's done verses listening for the cycle to end. The Super Speed Wash is a fantastic time saver and completes a full. Load in 29 minutes. Ideal when you’re in a rush yet at the same time need clean clothes. **Self Clean Option** Self Clean option is great as it alerts you when you when it's time to.deep clean the washer. I use those washer cleaning tablets and drop it inside the tub. Then I set it for self cleaning. It really keeps your washer sanitized and ultimately it will last longer with this built in maintenance. **Wash Speed** The washers offers great wash speeds without losing cleaning quality. The quick cycles are ideal for busy schedules. While the wash cycles can be quick and efficient, I wish they were faster or more customizable. **Energy Proficiency** This model is ENERGY STAR® Ensured, meaning it’s energy-efficient, saving you money over time. Overall the Samsung WA52DG5500AW is high-performing, effective and with smart technology features it is the best decision for my family.
