It's worked for 8 months, but suddenly stopped while cooking. I took it apart and found that the safety switch at the bottom has a little plastic piece that melted, causing it to fail. I have a family of 5, and it was heavily used. It did cook very well. If it wasn't for that flaw, I'd give it a 5 star.

Two days prior to dying, the safety turn off stopped working which automatically turns off the oven fan when the tray is pulled out. Then it stopped working 15 minutes in while cooking things. So that was convenient. Spend your money on something better quality, this isn't it.

I bought this model in March 2024. Within 6 months it wouldn't turn on anymore. I contacted the company, as it had a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I had to provide a ridiculous amount of pictures and videos but they agreed to send me a new one as long as I paid the $20 shipping fee. So I paid it and received my new air fryer. 3 months later, it wouldn't turn on anymore. Contacted the company again, they said they could send me a new one but this would be the last one. My warranty will be void after this. All I have to do is pay the $20 shipping fee. At this point, I'm going on my 3rd fryer for this company so I declined. I'd rather start putting my money towards a better quality air fryer.

Having used many brands and sizes of air fryers, this one blows me away! The price of $39.99 makes it seem like a pricing error due to the 1700 watts of power and 13 preset functions offered on this air fryer! It does the usual air fryer functions like most do but this one has a window in the basket and AN INTERIOR LIGHT!! WOW!! These 2 upgrades to "traditional" air fryers has been a game changer for my cooking since I no longer have to pull the basket open during cooking to check on the progress of cooking. All I need to do is push the light bulb button icon on the touchscreen and voila, there's great lighting on the inside which makes viewing foods being cooked a breeze. No longer need to open the basket to check on the food cooking, so the heat inside remains unaltered by using the interior light and windows on the front of the air fryer basket. Cooks evenly regardless of frozen or fresh foods. It is a workhorse. Also has dehydrate which works fantastically! Great for gift giving, especially at this unheard of price for such a powerful workhorse!

It stopped working after 5 months of owning. Doesn't have a removal basket so you can't dump out without the bottom falling out. Doesn't automatically start again when you take the basket out and put it back in. All the settings are practically the same. Does a good job cooking food.

Purchased in June 2024, within the month the coating started to chip. We ended up using liners to offset that problem and then a couple days ago (12/4/2024) it quit working mid cycle. After seeing other reviews, I'm not going to bother contacting Sam's or West Bend.
