Versatile Wet/Dry Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in my 50s with one teen still at home as well as a husband, pets and 8 grandkids. I received this wet and dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I must admit that I was skeptical because of a previous machine (different brand). I ended up being pleasantly surprised. The Crosswave has been great for small kitchen mishaps including those that are dried on. It may take multiple passes, but no more hand scrubbing! I was also able to get through all of the wood floors (1500 sq ft) on one large tank! Hydro Steam has been great for my bathrooms. The machines size also makes it fit well in smaller spaces. My favorite feature is how easy it is to clean. I find myself doing small jobs every day or so because of how easy it is to use. It's also very handy to be able to clean area rugs with the same machine. The only things that I would change are the weight and the light that stays on when it's plugged in but shut off. I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone that wants to clean more often and is looking for something easy to use.
Fantastic for Stuck on StainS
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My home has multiple surfaces: vinyl, carpet, and hardwood. In addition I have a 5 year old and 3 pets; things get messy fast around here! The Crosswave allowed me to vacuum and steam clean in one step making my floor cleaning take half the time. One major piece I loved is that we had some caked on dirt and stains on our vinyl from the previous owners. The Crosswave actually started to breakup and clean the spots on the first use! Pros: deep cleaning, multi-surface, easy to set up, and self cleaning Cons, it does sit in a base for self cleaning, if you don't have a dedicated spot for it, then space can be an issue in small homes
Powerful and clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving this. We have hardwood flooring through our apt and we rent. The kitchen floors are not sealed correctly so they hold onto a lot of dirty and grime. This vacuum gets up all the dirt. It makes me feel better when having our 1yr old walking all over I'm not worried about the icky floors. It's easy to use and easy to clean
Great for Kid and Pet Parents
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CrossWave HydroSteam has been a real time and effort saver in my house full of mess-making young children and pets. Cleaning up wet, sticky, oily, and stuck on messes has become a breeze - The HydroSteam has been used to suck up spilled bowls of mushy cereal, tipped over glasses of orange juice, missed trips to the bathroom, and stinky pet messes all without the use of paper towels, cleaning sprays, or scrubbing. The new SteamWash mode has become a staple cleaning method because it helps get dirt and stains out of rug fabric and hard floor grooves after a short 30 second heating period. My favorite features have been the SteamWash operation and the ease of emptying the collection container. The CrossWave HydroSteam has proven to be a high quality and versatile product capable of tackling a spectrum of messes on any flooring type. I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest feedback.
I would NOT buy this again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Crosswave Hydrosteam All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner in mid October 2023. We have laminate flooring and 2 cats so I was eager to have something that would clean our floors and sanitize them. I have used this machine approximately once a month since I bought it and vacuumed with my trusty old Hoover in between times. When I pulled the Bissell out the other day, I had barely started cleaning my kitchen floor when there was a huge puddle of water on the floor! No water left in the cleaning solution tank. The cap on the solution bottle was no longer sealing. I tried to suction up the water with the Bissell but it could not get all up; I wound up using towels to mop it up. My husband and I cut this defective P.O.S. with one of his saws and put it in the trash. I then vacuumed with my trusty old Hoover and then mopped the house with my generic Swifter-type mop. Bottom line - this thing did not even last 6 months.
Sorry to hear you weren't happy with your machine! We appreciate your feedback, but we could've helped resolve this issue. You had a warranty with BISSELL and we're always here to help at support.bissell.com.
Pleased
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live off grid on 17 Acres with a multitude of animals. There's dirt and debris everywhere and I'm constantly overworked. This combination of vacuum mop is a godsend. I tried it for the first time yesterday on a super muddy semi outdoor kitchen and it picked up 98% of everything there. I was so pleased and it halved my effort. I gave away all five bottles of cleaning products to someone who loves Bissell cleaning products, because I have dogs and other animals so I have to use things which are actually animal friendly and not toxic to their noses which are right on the floors. It does seem incongruent that while Bissell is pet friendly their toxic chemicals are not.
AMAZING!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not be more in love with the Bissell Hydrosteam! First, lets be honest it is the prettiest vacuum with a beautiful rose gold handle. Most importantly, it saves so much time and effort as it is an all-in-one that vacuums, steams, and washes at the same time. This one product has reduced my cleaning time by at least 50% because I don't have to drag out my steamer, mop, bucket, and vacuum any more. Plus, I believe hydrosteam cleans and sanitizes better than my prior cleaning methods. I also LOVE that the product cleans itself with a self cleaning cycle. In the photos you will see the black tray which you put the vacuum in and once it's done there is a slot to the right to dry the tangle free roller brush! This product is well made and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for any easier way to clean their home.
Cleanest hardwood floors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ease of use: yes, this is easy to use. It's a bit heavy, so, that's the only con I can think of while in operation. Steam: I used this for the 1st time, and the steam won't appear til about 5-10min in. This may be coz of the start up process, or it just takes that long to create steam. Once it functions, it's good as it makes hard and dry messes easier to clean. After care: This is where I took away 1 star. There's alot of parts that require cleaning after the fact. It does a great job getting all the dirt and hairs, and the self cleaning of the roller is great. But the dirty container has so many parts (lid, filter, strainer, container). The interior gets really nasty as it does a great job cleaning the floor. The design can be improved by only having 1 or 2 parts to clean, instead of 4.
Save yourself the dissapointment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this machine a absolute flop. I have used other floor cleaners with much better results and less time, money, and frustration. It does not clean well. It is heavy. It takes more time to clean parts after usage and is a waste of time. I have to mop behind this machine to get a clean floor. Absolutely a mistake on my part.
Hi Catherine. We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the machine. Cleaning the machine after use should be easy! Please reach out anytime if we can help provide some tips for using the CrossWave at support.bissell.com.
Excellent cleaning power and easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bissell sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program, in exchange for my honest review. My house has multiple flooring styles, including hardwood, tile, laminate, and carpet/area rugs. I've tested it on all of the surfaces and had generally excellent results. For anyone who is familiar with the Rainbow vacuum, this product reminds me a lot of that. Let me start off by noting that the vacuum is really solid and pretty heavy. Super easy to put together and the usage directions are really clear and easy to understand. The surface where I noticed the best results was the hardwood floor. The tile was a close second, but the vacuum seems to lack the scrubbing power for the stubborn food gunk I seem to find daily in my kitchen (thanks kids...). A little elbow grease was required in a few spots, even after I left the steam function over top the area. I also noticed pretty good results on the area rug, but there was some leakage of dirty water when I went back and forth from the rug to the hardwood floor on accident. It is also not as effective as a regular carpet cleaner because the included scrub brush isn't as tough. One of my favorite features of the vacuum is the self-cleaning function for when you're finished. The tray keeps everything neat and the function does a fantastic job of thoroughly cleaning the inner workings of the machine to keep gunk from building up. The lighting on the front was a pleasant surprise and I love that the machine can get flat to the edge of the wall so it doesn't leave crumbs all around the edges of my house. Overall, I'm very happy with the product. I think that it may be best suited to a house with primarily hardwood, tile, or laminate flooring. Ours is 2/3 carpet, so we still need a regular vacuum and carpet cleaner for deeper carpet cleaning.
