Perfect Camping Companion!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator has been an absolute game-changer for my camping trips. It's made cooking and lighting up my campsite so much easier and more enjoyable. Whether I'm running a small cooktop, powering up lights, or charging gear, it handles everything smoothly without missing a beat. What I really love is that it's propane-powered — no need to lug around extra gas cans or deal with messy refueling. That alone makes it so much more convenient and travel-friendly. The setup is super simple, and it runs quietly compared to most generators I've used. It's lightweight, efficient, and perfect for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors. For the price, this generator is absolutely worth it. It's reliable, comfortable to use, and ideal for an outdoorsy person like me who values both convenience and performance.

I'm sold on this generator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you want a generator that's strong, reliable, and not hard to figure out, the Generac GP5500 is a great choice. I was scared of this generator at first.  I am glad to have it for power outages and outdoor use, and it really delivered.  With a bit of help I was able to get it up and running.  Let's talk about the pros and cons and why it may be a good choice for you.  Pros     •    Plenty of power for the essentials — fridge, freezer, lights, fans, and small appliances.     •    Runs for hours on one tank.     •    Easy to start, even with the pull cord.     •    Sturdy build with wheels that make it easier to move.     •    Very dependable with the items I plugged into it.  Cons     •    It's heavy, so expect to roll it instead of lifting it.      •    A little loud — not sure what's normal.   If your power is out or you are outside and it works the noise doesn't matter.     •    Not the best for sensitive electronics like high-end computers.  Plug in the things you need the most during an outage.  Ease of Use Super simple. Just:     •    Add fuel     •    Check oil     •    Turn the switch     •    Start it That's all. Very beginner friendly.  I feel more secure knowing that I am prepared for an outage. I would recommend.

Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator works great! Has a long battery life too which is incredible. Easy to use and start thankfully. It has a lot of power to it. Also has wheels to move around which is great because it's heavy otherwise.

Solid, well-made unit.

This generator is everything it claims to be. Easy to set-up, use and is reliable. I hooked it up to my home for a test-run the day after I received it. It started up instantly and powered the entire "critical function" sub-panel in my home (HVAC, water/well, freezers/refrigerators, water heater (gas), water softener, garage door, washer/dryer (gas), WIFI/network and critical lights/outlets). We built our home in 1998 (just prior to "Y2K", ha!) and included the sub-panel. I toyed with the idea of now installing a whole-home generator - but that would have been an $8-10K investment - this was <$1K. For the roughly one power outage we experience every 2-3 years, this is a good, economical solution.

Amazing Generator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac Power Systems GP4000 Dual Fuel 49 ST Portable Generator works amazingly well. We have power outages a lot where we live, especially in winter with all the rainstorms, so this has already come in handy a few times. It's a big generator and will work to power your essentials, but not so big you that it's ridiculously hard to get out of storage and get started. It's a pull start which is easy to use. I do wish it had a push start option as well, but it's not a dealbreaker. This gave us enough power to run essentials, like my espresso machine, recliner chair, lights, fridge, and chargers. It was easy to put together. And the wheels and handle make it super easy to maneuver around. I love that it's dual fuel. You can use either propane or gasoline. It's a nice generator and will be used for years to come.

needless waste of my time to resolve warranty issu

Originally purchased unit from a general distributor. The product did not work as it should. Spent months trying to get that resolved. The process was gruesome and useless. Finally after months & hours of my time a resolution was determined to replace the unit with a new one. This unit appears to perform as advertised and expected. So long story short, replacement made but after months of aggravation. Not what I ever bargained for.

Dual-fuel, easy start, and reliably powers essent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator has been a great backup for storms. I love that it runs on propane or regular gasoline.Having both options makes it so much easier when stores are crowded or one fuel is hard to find. It starts up quickly and is simple to use, even for someone who isn't super technical. When our power went out last week, it kept the essentials running: fridge, lights, Wi-Fi/router, and a couple of other small items we needed. No hiccups, no fuss. Switching between fuels is straightforward, and it's been very reliable every time we've tested it. If you're looking for peace of mind during outages, this has been a solid, no-drama solution for our home

A must have on the farm for power outages! We will

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with the Generac Dual Fuel Generator. I gave it a try on my farm and it effortlessly powered anything I asked of it. Skill saws, lights, anything! It was easy to assemble. Propane took a minute to get started but gasoline fuel fired right up. The only reason I knock of one star is the difficulty we had starting it initially. Noise level is adequate for it's size. I couldn't imagine the farm without it. It also provides me comfort to know it's ready when needed for one of our many power outages!

5000 starting watts, 4000 running watts. Dual fuel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The durability of this power systems GP4000 dual fuel 49 ST is amazing! Having dual fuel gives it versatility. Performance is great. When we lost power it gave us comfort allowing us to run our portable AC and keep our refrigerator running. This generator has brought great value to our house. A additional benefit is it's on wheels so we can easily set it up. Generac is a very durable generator. I was given this generator to test and write my review. I highly recommended this generator because it's very easy to set up and its dual fuel makes it easy. Because of this generator and its awesome performance we were comfortable in this Texas heat and we don't lose our food .

Great quality

The Generac generator that I purchased for our fiber splicing trailer has been great. We haven't had any issues thus far. It is easy to start and starts quickly even in cold weather. It is very quite compared to most others and the gas usage is very minimal. We are more than pleased with our Generac!
