This has been the best generator I have ever owned, so far have run it only off propane. No gas going stale in the tank best choice I have ever made!!

I purchased my Generac generator at Ace Hardware in North Webster IN on March 13th, 2026. I have used it 3 times since then. I am extremely happy and satisfied with my purchase. Thank you.

It requires gasoline which is a minus for me because of the smell but at the same time, it is easy to find and purchase. This is a very heavy item, and you will need a friend to move it around!

Originally purchased unit from a general distributor. The product did not work as it should. Spent months trying to get that resolved. The process was gruesome and useless. Finally after months & hours of my time a resolution was determined to replace the unit with a new one. This unit appears to perform as advertised and expected. So long story short, replacement made but after months of aggravation. Not what I ever bargained for.

On our last storm our power went out and the GP4000 was able to handle the power to my refrigerator. I also was able to keep my families phones charged. With this generator you have two fuel options, gas or propane. Which is perfect for on the go! I used gas to run it and it was super easy to fill! I am beyond pleased with this generator!

I bought this one, it served me well during these power outages they have here in Tennessee. Powered my fridge, two bedrooms ( t/v's and boxes), electric fire places. Filled it up at night, it would run all night. (8+ hours). It served me well. I have the whole house one now.

Living in Florida where hurricane season is so unpredictable this generator is a must! The only downside is doesn't have a 220volt outlet for wells. It's quiet for generator and will come in handy when the power goes out.

Start-up with manual startup was fairly easy. This unit also comes with a battery for an electric start which is pretty cool. The load can handle several small appliances such as a refrigerator, freezer and a TV or you can use it to run a single 220 volt HVAC system by itself. Moving the unit is a breeze as it comes with a handy handle that folds up and down for easy storage. Overall I highly recommend this unit and Generac is well known for their reliability and quality.

I bought this new generator new in the box for our deer camp. We unboxed it and added the oil and clean gasoline and started it. It was gushing gas out of the carb so we had to shut it down. When we called Menards to bring it back for an exchange they said that they don't take them back and we had to bring it to a certified repair shop that was 75 miles away from our camp. Needless to say, we didn't have a generator for deer season because the repair shop was booked. When I picked it up the owner said that the carb was full of gunk and that he couldn't even charge Generac for the repair because it was a fuel issue. how could that be possible when it was brand new out of the box? I am very disappointed that we have a generator that could be a lemon and the repair shop didn't get paid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator has been an absolute game-changer for my camping trips. It's made cooking and lighting up my campsite so much easier and more enjoyable. Whether I'm running a small cooktop, powering up lights, or charging gear, it handles everything smoothly without missing a beat. What I really love is that it's propane-powered — no need to lug around extra gas cans or deal with messy refueling. That alone makes it so much more convenient and travel-friendly. The setup is super simple, and it runs quietly compared to most generators I've used. It's lightweight, efficient, and perfect for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors. For the price, this generator is absolutely worth it. It's reliable, comfortable to use, and ideal for an outdoorsy person like me who values both convenience and performance.
