I bought this generator last year I've had the opportunity to use it a couple of times. It is everything that this products overview stated. It runs not as loud as most generators and easy to start which I love as a person with arthritis it really helps that easy start. Overall this is a great generator and the price is also great.

I am really happy with the Westinghouse 5300 duel fuel generator I purchased because dealing with propane power is very easy. With my last generator, I had to deal with harsh gasoline and thoroughly cleaning up the tiny spillage here and there upon refilling the thing with a gas can (which also permeats the air with fumes). The Westinghouse is great.

To be honest I haven't started it. They start it at the factory then drain the oil out of it for shipping. After doing research on line I found that gasoline is corrosive and they don't recommend storing it in the tank for more than two weeks. The oil and funnel comes with the unit. I'm just going to leave it empty, no oil or gas, with every confidence that it will start if I ever need it. Unit is heavy but has a good handle and wheels for moving it around.

Just received my new Westinghouse generator, was delivered in 3 days, super fast shipping. Packed vary well, very easy to set up and get ready to run. Directions were easy to follow. Got it prepared to run, and it fired right up. Had it hooked up to the vacation house in half an hour. Worked great, just what we needed for backup. Would buy again!

There are many generators out there for one’s needs. After concluding my review, I settled on the WGen5300cv. The number of power ports and its versatility made this the choice for me to provide temporary power from utility interruptions and work in the back 40. Set up and operating instructions were easy to follow. Preparation and start-up were effortless. Hoping for many years of usage for my home needs.

I bought this just over a week ago, had an issue with the oil dipstick that I can't seem to get resolved. I have talked to a person (after a long wait on hold) and sent e-mails, still have no resolution to this minor issue. This part must be the least expensive on the whole unit, yet I can't seem to get satisfaction!

I purchased this generator to maintain power at my residence for my freezer, refrigerator, and a fan while having my main electrical service line replaced. It performed very well. The added benefit of the generator is I will have it for use in future power outages and can get power at remote areas on my property.

I purchased this late September had to do a special order and brought home today 10/21/2021. Followed the easy directions to install wheels and added the oil that was included in the box. Added gas started on second pull, tried 110 outlet worked great, looking forward to trying 220 in the next few days. Thanks,Bill S

I have just purchased the WGen5300v generator about two weeks ago. I have cranked it up and ran it for about 15 minutes, plugging in some electrical devices. The unit cranked on the first full and was a little quieter than i anticipated. I first purchased a different brand of generator, but it was damaged in shipping. The wheels and the included oil were just placed loosely in the box and very little protective packaging for the generator. The oil bottle was punctured and the frame was badly warped. Looking at the other brand of generator, it was was of poor quality. Wheels had only a plastic sleeve in the middle where the pin goes through to mount onto the frame and the packaging showed poor quality. The Westinghouse generator had all parts and the oil in a box. Wheels have bearings to turn on, so to me this generator just has a better feel of quality. It how- ever had slight damage to the frame as well, but since it ran well and had no vibration I am not going to return it. I am giving this unit 4 stars because of the damage. I am not sure what these shipping companies are doing to these generators but better packaging needs to be addressed.
