This generator has been great for my cabin. It runs my entire deer camp efficiently, and isn't too loud for a conventional generator. Sometimes it's hard to start, but altogether a solid unit.

Haven't had to use it in a real emergency yet but the one test run I've done it powered a oscillating fan and heat lamp for a good bit. I expect many years of service so long as I can maintain it!

My husband said "This is a work horse." The start button makes it easy enough for me to turn on our generator. The entire size is compact and fits on four 16x16 patio blocks. This now gives us life security for the next storm!

I bought this generator 3 years ago. I bought it because it was universal between propane and gas, owner of 2 other gas generators I felt I was missing a propane. It has come in hand as I have ran out of gasoline but living in the country , we always have propane on hand.

Completed proper initial set up. Started break-in process. Leaked excessive oil, bogged down and shook violently after start up and plugging in a simple shop vac. Repeated process with same result. Oil everywhere, little power output. Had to drain all fluids in order to return to Walmart store for refund.

This generator is heavy duty but small enough to use anywhere around the house. The built in wheels and folding handle makes it easy to move. Engine runs very smooth and is surprisingly quiet for the size. This medium size generator will run a 240v well pump, 120v freezer, refrigerator, and lighting. It's the perfect unit for backup electricity when the power goes out during winter storms!

I received this generator just 4 days after I ordered it, and it was in great condition, of which I am thankful. I have read some of the horror stories about the condition upon receipt. But I believe this was a good purchase for me, as it is replacing an older, still awesome Generac that I purchased about 35 years ago. I gave it to my youngest son, it started on the first pull. He is happy. It was just time for an update for me! This generator came in great condition, good paint job, and looks great. Very simple to assemble with only a few parts. I like that it has a breaker switch to shut down the voltage while the engine is running. It also has a switch to go from 220v to 120v. It also has a CO sensor to detect dangerous amounts of CO2 that will shut the unit off. I pulled it out of the box, installed the feet and wheels, and put the oil in, put about a gallon of gas in the tank, turned it on, pulled the rope and it started on the second pull, when my grandson noticed that I had not put the choke on. He looked at me and said, “It started without using the choke!” I know that this doesn’t always happen, but having a bit of mechanical experience myself, it made me happy to see it start so quickly. It runs very smooth, hardly any vibration, and is actually quite considering it is a generator! We are not looking forward to the next power outage, but we feel better prepared with a new generator!

I just bought this unit. It runs great except I have to tighten half of the screws on it and it did not come with oil which it should have according to the sending description. It also came with a plug-in charger but it's useless since this is not an electric start this is a recoil start. And when I called about the oil they want me to send a picture of the oil system. Makes no sense you didn't include oil send the oil

I live in a rural area that power outages occur frequently. I needed a backup to my 23 year old portable generator that is still running great although a bit rusty. (I always run the generator each month for a few minutes after shutting off the fuel line and allowing the carburetor to run dry.) I searched for a generator of similar power output and found the WGen5300cv was a great match. I was a little skeptical about this source since it was $150 less than the other major stores (Lowe’s, Amazon, etc). But when it was delivered, it was brand new, boxed and exactly as advertised. It assembled easily and ran great. I am pleasantly surprised so far. I generally don’t read the manuals unless I run into problems. However, I suggest that you only top off the generator oil with 3/4 of the quart provided. The full quart will overflow as I discovered.

I bought this generator to give me piece of mind living here in Florida. It powers the necessary parts of our house if we were to lose power because of a Hurricane. It is easy to assemble and wheel around while being compact enough to where it doesn't take up to much space. Happy with my purchase.
