Works as advertised

Assembly was easy. Like many people noted the generator end cover was dented but it doesn't affect the operation. Started right up. During the one hour break in the motor ran a little rough. After the one hour break in, under a small load the engine ran smooth. Works as advertised Gave 4 stars because after one day it is too early to give 5 stars.

Great Features

I bought this about 1 month ago, yet haven't tested it out. It was bought as an "insurance policy" after the last power outage we experienced lasted 4 days. I picked this model because of it sufficient power output, battery start, and display meter for monitoring usage hours and generator output. Hopefully I will never have to use it, but hope it will work if I actually need it.

Best value out there!

After comparing endless brands of generators, I settle for this one. It offered the most bang for the buck and had a lot of great reviews. Plus, Westinghouse is an American company that has been around forever. Fired her up and ran her through her paces while our electrical service was cut to make upgrades to the main panel to accommodate an interlock circuit for the generator. Seemed to power everything that was essential in the house with no problems. Highly recommended!

Very pleased

This generator is lighter in weight but appears better built than my previous similar output generator. It's also significantly quieter while running - very important during household power outages. The remote starting feature seems pointless, because you still need to go to the generator to turn the battery switch on before starting. Overall, so far this generator seems well worth its cost.

NICE BASIC GENERATOR

Good value and light weight. It will not do 120 volt and 240 volt at the same time. Selecting 240 volt to use the twist lock plug turns off the 120 volt plugs You must be very careful moving as the handle does not lock and it will get away from you and land on the generator end. I think this may lead to a safety recall in the future. It happen to me the second time I moved it. Overall I really like generator.

Great little generator

After going through another 5 day power outage and using pool water to flush toilets, I knew I needed to get a generator. My electrician recommended Westinghouse and I see why - works great and is compact! I plan on only running essentials (well, boiler, refrigerator and freezer) and I am confident this will handle more. The included wheels are a bonus and I don't have to worry about filling them with air. I like that you can choose a model with or without a battery - I chose without since I didn't want to add more weight or another thing to take care of. Bring it on, mother nature!

WGen5300cv is quite the mule

This little guy has been rock solid. Start easily, and has powered everything I've ever asked of it. I use it primarily as emergency power to ensure I don't lose sump pump capabilities and I have put two full size refrigerators on it. Worked like a charm

Think it’ll work well

Plan to use the 240 amp plug. Didn’t work as I had expected when I purchased. The 120/240 switch chooses whether u want the 240 plug or the other plugs to get power. It does NOT *change* the wattage going to get locking plug. Now that i know this I’m good. I wish the screw to drain the fuel from the carburetor stuck out more so it was easier to get a hose or funnel under it before the fuel starts pouring out.

Great

I didn't have to use it for the most recent hurricane but I go through the initial set up to verify it would turn on and it did. The instructions were super simple. I hope to never have to use it but if so, I'm confident that it will work as intended.

Lifesaver!!!

Purchased days before Hurricane Milton came to Tampa, just in the nick of time! Has a 120/240v option which is amazing and the dual fuel option also amazing especially with our current gas availability. We had an electrician wire it up to supply our well pump with power! I’ve never been to happy to do dishes! Easy to operate everything is included. Our 2nd Westinghouse generator. Couldn’t be more pleased!
