Just received this generator and it is perfect. I see many reviews saying the generator end cover being damaged in shipping however that is just how it looks. The 5300 is perfect to run almost everything in our house. Finally looking forward to our next power outage LOL!

I am a senior, retired man in a rural area, in a total electric home. Power goes out at the worst times and I don't like cold and dark. I've not had to use it yet, but I face the winter with no worries, for a change. I don't know of a more reliable name to trust than Westinghouse

I purchased this for emergency use. After looking at several different brands, models and prices, I decided to buy this one. I am happy that all I needed to assemble the legs and wheels. I find this to be very well constructed. For my trial run I started the generator up (easily), plugged in a 50ft. extension cord, plugged in my table saw and drill press, RAN GREAT! I am pleased. This generator is smaller than the other generator I was using. It feels very solid. The motor is a little noisy, but not as loud as other generators. I really like the gauges on it that tell me the voltage and hours. This little thing is going to be an awesome addition to our house when the power goes out. It is certainly a workhorse. Very pleased so far!

Just bought it, had it put together in minutes, Great instruction. Hard to find Dual fuel. I hooked it up to a LP tank and fired it up. Ran great and wasn't near a loud as my other generator.Very Happy with this purchase You need to let more people know about it, Dual Fuel

I just bought this for hurricane preparedness and after reading the reviews of all manufacturers out there this one rated the highest and everyone I talked to said this brand was the one to go with. Feel better going into hurricane season here in Florida.

I bought this generator on-line last week, received it in 3 days and had it set up and running in less than an hour. It easily powers everything in our 1300 sq. foot house, including the fridge, baseboard hot water heating, boiler, 240V well pump, as well as lights and TV/stereo! It's an amazing little unit, and remarkably compact for its rated output.

I bought this to power the refrigerator and some other essential items during power outages. I have not run it yet during an outage, but did a test run and it performed well. Please note that when you select 240V the 120V outlet does not supply power. Likewise, when you select 120V the L14-30R outlet does not supply power.The screen on the exhaust popped off when I started the unit the first couple times. I am waiting on customer service for a response.

Got this from Santa. Gorgeous looking machine. Started on the first try. Runs like a top, and performs beautifully. Can't wait to take it camping or to the family cabin. Hopefully I won't need it for a power outage, but I feel much better just knowing that I have a quality machine, just in case. .

I just bought this generator a week ago and we had a storm and lost power. I fired up the generator and ran both refrigerators and some light in my home. This is a perfect back up. The assembly was easy and the unit is compact and does not take up much storage space.
