We just bought this item and so far very happy with it. We had three ice storms and a flood this winter. We had no power for two days the first ice storm and three days the third one. This should really be a big help the next time we have a power outage. I would really recommend this product.

Easy to put together with all parts included. Started on second pull. I thought it was a little noisy but didn't know what exactly to expect. Not sure if I'll be receiving bonus because of limited availability which will be a disappointment since the offer was included in the packet.

Easy to assemble and start. Ran smoothly during the engine break in period. Arrived without damage! Ordered another brand and 2 units were damaged during shipping due to poor packaging. The Westinghouse unit had better packaging and was made with more solid materials than the competing brand.

Provides me peace of mind should rolling black outs become the norm as hinted last year. Features advertised should meet all my needs to keep essential appliances running during power outages but won't know for sure until tested under actual conditions.

My wife and I bought this for my Mother-in-law for Christmas. Had a few issues at first with generator wanting to cut out and it died a time or two. We choked the generator to start it, but never felt like we could take it all the way off choke because it would cut out and not run smooth. I feel as tho this is what caused it to die on her during the ice storm. Made a test run today for 2.5 hours with a good load with choke all the way off. It only sputtered once at the very beginning of the run. Hoping everything works flawlessly from now on.

Hello, I bought the when5300cv. It is a beast. Works great and has a lot of power but it too noisy. It is being advertised as running with 68 DB but it actually marks above 80. See measurements attached. The graph shows from 10 feet from the generator up to 25 feet. It starts almost at 87 - 88 and as you move away it drops to 56 around 25 feet. I definitely recommend it but make sure you have plenty of space and extension cord LOL.

Very sensitive product when attempting to start. I think I'm having issues with the fuel lines but I've only started it up about 4 time since 2021 and never had to use it; I think the issue is the fuel line. Not very confident that this product will start when my power goes out. I feel duped.

Just received the 5300 with electric start, the quick setup instructions very easy to follow, includes everything -wheels, tool kit, oil and even a funnel ! Gassed it up - pushed the electric start ...... fired right up, average operating sound for a generator, ran smoothly, no leaks or drips ! Gave it a quick test with two 1875w hair dryers ..... no problem ! The WGen replaces a 3500w manual start , I can get spoiled with this electric start ! And like with anyone who buys a home generator "I hope I never use it" but in this New Normal , it will be getting it's use !

Westinghouse manufactured a generator that was exactly what I was looking for. Other manufactures had generators with to low or high voltage output and yours was perfect as well as the price. Putting it together, setting it up with the tools you provided made it easy.

We previously owned 3 generators, a Gentron 10,000, a Honda eu3000i, and Honda eu2000. This Wgen 5300c took the place of three and now we only have to maintain 1 power plant, it rins the entire house, the rv, and takes up very little space!!! Thank you Sooo much!
